adidas Men's Terrex Trailmaker Gore-Tex Hiking Shoe

Comfortable, rugged and fit perfect on wide feet!
Adidas men's shoes that don't have the width of a small woman? What??? The main things I look for in shoes from adidas is if they fit my wide foot and if they're easy to put on. You get a front and back pull tab which makes these so easy to put on. There's a semi sock like membrane that goes over the foot but it's split so it's not like the trendy style where you have to stretch it out just to slip your foot in. I usually go a 1/2 size over for Adidas because of my wide foot and it fits perfectly. I've only had them for about a month but they seem pretty rugged and both time I've worn them out in wet conditions, my foot stayed dry.

Best Wet Season Sneaker
I order a pair (or two) of these every fall and wear them exclusively through the wet season here in Oregon. Great for rainy days, wet grass, snow, puddles, etc. Breathable and waterproof. Supportive enough to leave the laces tied loose to slip in and out when needed.

Good overall
After over 19 pairs of Adidas.... Shoe seems durable and I am happy with the Gore-Tex waterproof nature of the shoe. Love the brand though now I seem to be in-between sizes with Adidas. What was always a "slam dunk" fit seems tortured. Not an 8 and not quite an 8.5. So hard for me to say with confidence it "fits as expected." I think the change to recycled materials has changed or altered the "shoe last" and the material brings a tighter, narrower fit. The last two pair I have tried, I had to go up one half size.

Falls apart quickly
Walked my dogs on a wet golfcourse daily for 3 months with these. I loved these shoes when i first got them and still do. When they fell apart in month 3 i bought shoeglue but it just wont stay together. Im considering a cobbler because theyre so comfortable but they just wont hold together.

Not comfortable
Adidas typically runs just a bit narrow, but even going half a size up didn't help with these because the hard rubber that provides waterproofing goes up the side and where it stops cause an uneven seem on the side of the foot which together with the narrowness of the shoe causes pain after just a bit of walking. Also, the hard plastic where the lace holes are pushes into the top of the foot, which also makes the show uncomfortable. I've only worn them about 6 times so I don't know if they will break-in, but given the discomfort I doubt I'll be able to wear them enough to get there and don't really know if they would break in given the hard pieces of material in the shoe. There are much better shoes out there than this model.

This item is not water proof even if it is GTX. It is wet just walking on wet grass.
It would not be waterproof for the GTX items by Adidas
