We used these for a pass-through for the coax input and three exterior CAT6 output cables. It had ample room for all four, and as you can see, fit a standard 1-gang ring just fine.Note that this was on a hand-plastered wall that was somewhat uneven, and the plate was forgiving of a not-quite-flat surface.
