Very disappointing
Clearly been used and returned. Not great charging over full price for a product like that

Works well but I should never have had to buy it............
There was a time when I was a complete Sonos fan boy. Their stuff was well made, easy to set up and performed well. My, how times have changed.I have started having issues with my Sonos equipment for some time now. Some of it was annoying but not critical like items would just disappear from my Sonos "System" for no apparent reason and would require reinstalling. The latest issue was with my Beam Gen2 soundbar. The sound would just cut out, sometimes for just a few seconds and sometimes could only be restored by turning everything off and back on again.I tried all the suggestions on the Sonos help section but nothing worked. In desperation I looked for a "hardware solution" in the form of the Sonos adapter. The Sonos adapter removes the necessity to use the TV HDMI eARC socket and instead uses an optical cable.Afer installing the adapter it was necessary to tell my tv which digital sound output I was using. I also had to configure in the Sonos app to set up my TV remote as initially my TV remote would not change the TV volume. As soon as I did that the adapter worked perfectly with no sound dropouts at all.The botton line however is that I shound never have needed to buy the adapter in the first instance.

Not able to work on main tv 🤷🏻
Very poor flimsy item which worked on one tv but could not recognise the main one even though that tv had worked perfectly on older system of sound.

wasn't a fix for the metallic sound on the Beam Gen2
So, if you're a beam gen2 user and trying to resolve that metallic sound that 100s of customers are facing and have written about of their forum(but Sonus is ignoring) , unfortunately this doesn't resolve it.I mean, it works in the fact it goes optical out of TV into adapter, hmdi into adapter then into beam gen2.However that horrible flange/metallic/tight delay sound still comes from the right speaker of the beam gen2.So, yes it works transferring sound, but it doesnt work (as some have suggested on the forums) to eradicate the horrible noise :(
