RocklandSingle Handle Rolling Backpack, OWL, One Size

My daughter loves her new backpack. I’ll admit that I took it for a spin myself. The rolling action is very smooth and quiet on most surfaces. The size is perfect for all of her school books and laptop computer. The three sections offer much room for anything a student might need. The dimensions are suitable for anyone 7+ years old to carry. In addition it fits nicely between the front and rear seats of my car.The main suggestions I have are deeper side pockets that can hold a bigger water bottle(20oz) and the roller handle could be a bit sturdier when fully extended, but I love that it’s a single pole.

My daughter has hypotonic CP so she is not able to carry the weight of a full backpack. Got this for her Nov 2022 and it just now needs to be replaced. The backpack portion is still in great shape. It's the wheels and the scrap protection area that are worn out. Plan to purchase another one.Love how the straps tuck away. Has lots of pocketsOnly change I would like to see is the wheels - I would like roller blade wheels.

The bag arrived on time and in good condition. The bag seemed to be made well and I loved the hard bottom piece that gives the bag extra support and keeps the fabric from touching the ground when you have it loaded with books. The zippers all seem to be well made, lots of room in the main compartment, and several pockets to store everything. I started using the bag Aug. 15 and by the end of Sept. I started having trouble with the handle sticking while pushing it down. I now have to push in on the little button on the side of the handle so that the handle can telescope up and down. The button at the top of the handle no longer works at all to telescope the handle up or down and now the whole handle has started sticking in the bag when I push it all the way down. I'm having to pull really hard to get the handle to come up and sometimes I just give up and use it as a backpack. This is the most I have ever paid for a bag and I was sure it would last longer than my other bags which have lasted me the entire school year. Maybe I just have a defective bag or maybe the handle quality is poor..I'm not sure. I cannot recommend this bag due to the handle issue even though the overall quality seemed to be excellent at first. As much as I loved this bag when It first arrived I would say....DO NOT BUY THIS BAG unless you are only planning on wearing it as a backpack or unless you can afford to invest in a new bag frequently...6-8 weeks to be exact. And, I'm totally devastated because I loved the owl design.

This bag has kept my laptop safe now for three years, and I use it almost every single day, hauling it back and forth to work. It goes up steps, gets thrown into the back seat of my car, is dragged over pavement, grass, curbs, whatever. It's still rolling, all straps intact, handle still sturdy. I have stuffed this thing to the gills without issue. It has plenty of compartments -- padded laptop compartment inside the main compartment, plus a section with plenty of room for books and "stuff." It also has a sizable zipper compartment with two smaller zipper compartments on the front, and sections that will hold a water bottle and a telescoped umbrella on the sides. It works great, plus it's cute as all get-out! One of the best purchases I've ever made.Edited 6/18/2016 - Edited to say, I still love this thing. It still puts up with all the abuse I throw at it. Still cute. And yes, I paid full price, and I'd do it again in a hot minute, except that I love the one I've already got so darned much that I don't think I could stand to replace it.Edited 4/24/2018 - Still rolling! 2.75 stars because the bag is not exactly horrible but is noticeably subpar. For a product with an MSRP of $120.00 I'd expect better workmanship. The stitching is questionable in more than a few places and I'm concerned that it will unravel sooner than later. Beyond that, I just received the bag and upon the first unzip to inspect the bag's interior, I could already feel 2 of the zippers "sticking" in a couple spots along each of their tracks; so I KNOW that will be a problem as well. The extending handle only locks into one height and isn't the most sturdy. But for now, I really needed this bag a month ago. Plus, I got it at a steep discount. So I'm going to keep it.The positives are that the bag is very spacious. It has a nice sized drop pocket placed strategically in front of a organization pocket that has room for writing implements, notecards, calculator, etc. There is a decently padded laptop section in the center of the bag. And, of course, a large compartment at the rear that can fit everything I need with room to spare.The straps are great because they are fairly easy to unlatch and tuck away--which keeps them from being in the way when I'm rolling the bag about. The pockets on the back of the bag that the straps tuck into, as well as the straps themselves, are lightly padded; making carrying the bag comfortable as long as the contents isn't overly heavy.The wheels seem good. They roll smoothly and quietly. The bag is easily maneuverable. And comes in nice vibrant colors.If you can get a good price on this bag, I'd recommend it. Otherwise, I'd say: If you can afford something more durable or with a better warranty, pass on this one.

I am a teacher, and this works fabulously in caring my laptop, lunch, papers, etc.

Sturdy and well built Bags. Bought the first one for my eldest and she still uses it - going into her 3rd year of use. This one is for my youngest and I'm certain it will have just as many mileage if not more.

Bag is large and has many pockets. The material is a good design and has lasted well.
