ASD LED Panel 2x2 Dimmable Edge-Lit Flat 40W 5000K 4-PACK

Excellent lighting panel. Super even illumination, pleasant white emission, smooth dimming, nice appearance, rugged, easy to connect.Dimming: The data sheet states that 0-10V DC is needed for dimming. Although that works, this is not strictly the only option based on my experimentation. Using a resistor between the dimming wires will cause the LED to dim depending on the value of the resistor. 0 ohms (a short circuit) turns it off. 40k ohms turns it on 100%. Strangely the range is not linear however, so 50% brightness is more like 8k ohms instead of the expected 20k ohms, and 30k ohms will turn it on to about 95%+ brightness. This is consistent over the five panels I purchased. This method requires no power or other controller, and was more appropriate for my situation where I needed to dim each panel individually. It would not work for dimming multiple panels.A 25k ohm potentiometer allows about a 0%-90% range of adjustment. A 30k would be better for 100% brightness, but I couldn't find one suitable at the time. I used Mouser part number 858-P160KNPC15A25K and it worked great (and was very cheap), but  this one from Amazon  may also work fine if the description is correct. Because of the non-linear brightness function, be sure you get the "audio taper" version of the potentiometer to counteract that so the brightness increases in a relatively linear manner with the turn of the knob (50% brightness with the knob half-way).There doesn't appear to be any kind of dangerous voltage potential on the dimming wires, and there's only a milliamp or less of current flowing, so any low-voltage wiring should work. I am not an electrician however, so consult someone that knows local code.About the seller: ASD Lighting Solutions - They don't appear to actually know anything about this product and could not help me when they sent it with the wrong screws for attaching the power supply to the back of the panel. They suggested I go buy the correct ones at a hardware store or tape it on. The light comes with a guide and a phone number for the manufacture, but they will not help end-users. Don't count on getting help from anyone on this product short of a return through Amazon's guarantee in the first 30-days.

These lights are very bright at forty watts, they were easy to install and are very clean looking. this is the last of four four packs I bought tobrighten up my basement and they were the perfect choice. I have six lights on a dimmer ( Lutron DVSTV-WH Diva 3 way single pole 0-10V )which works perfectly with these lights and was easy to wire.The staff at Smart Lighting Solutions also gets five stars because they back their products 100%. The first three four packs arrived with the packaging damaged in shipping but the lights and their individual packaging appeared undamaged, one of the first six lights I installed had adark spot in it so I took a photo and e-mailed it to them with my complaint and three days later I received a replacement, four months laterone of the last two did not light at all and they sent me a replacement and a shipping label to return the bad light. Hats off to you Masha andthanks again for your help and your wonderful lights.

I want to start this review with a commendation to the seller. I wish I could give "extra credit" stars to this seller. The original arrival date was estimated to be the beginning of Decemeber. Even during Thanksgiving week I received the product within a couple days. There was a minor issue caused during shipping and the seller took care of it immediately, so quickly that even the replacement part arrived before the original estimated arrival date.The product is exactly as described and is wonderful. They work perfectly and look fantastic.I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller in the future.

I've only hooked up 1 as a test to confirm functionality with dimmer switch and see how the lighting was. Really nice looking units that are super thin and evenly lit. My biggest complaint is I was hoping for a slightly warmer light, but overall they look really nice. Hoping they last long term. Will update if I have any issues with any of the other ( 11 ) units.

The panels give a very nice even light, much better than my retrofit x-fluorescent troffers, and are easier to install due to their thin profile. Just make sure you ate your Wheaties the day you lift up the four pack box, it's fifty pounds and really surprised me! Very solidly built, quality product. I'm impressed. I had a minor tech support issue, contacted the seller, they got right back to me with the right fix (loose connection in the plastic 2-pin connector from driver to panel), 5 second fix and all was well.

good bright light, easy to install. prices well. the driver is attached to the back of the panel on these.I've bought others where the driver needs to be attached. these are lighter than other which is also a plus.

I bought these and they worked great for about a year. Then one light started to flicker and became very annoying. I had electrician come back and he verified it was the light. I have tried to contact the company several times now and ZERO LUCK! They have not responded to any of my emails and they do not answer the phone. I have called their headquarters several times, (781) 739-3977 and no answer. If you try to leave a message you just get a busy signal. I am not even sure if they are in business anymore. No response at all. I have one bad light and no support. Not happy. I pray that someone from their company sees this and reaches out to me. Thank you.

I have problems and I have not even installed them yet and they won't be until after Xmas 2017. I expected my order of 3 boxes of 4 ASD 2X2 units each from "Smart Lighting Solutions". I ended up getting 6 boxes of 2 each from "DEMASLED" from I do not know what manufacture. There is no manufacture on the boxes, units or manual other than made in China. Oh and the install instruction are different. Also the ASD units have 4 safety mounting tabs. Mine only have 2.Like I said I got 6 boxes of 2. 4 of them had 2 plastic straps. 1 box had 1 and 1 box had none and was opened.What do I do for a warranty. I don't know what it is from what manufacture. ERRR!
