Works well but $$$
Removes stains very well, especially if you treat the stain right away. I simply dampen the bar and work it into the stain, and toss it into the wash, laundering as usual. One star against price, which has increased by 20% in just a few weeks. No wonder Bezos can go into space, but I cancelled my prime membership because of these random price increases .

This works like magic!
I'm blown away by how incredibly effective this is. It works particularly well on grease stains and stubborn dirt stains. My son's athletic shorts have large areas of white trim. Over time they had gotten so brown and dingy that it was embarrassing and the stains were stubborn. Before replacing them, I tried using the Laundress Stain Bar. It was amazing to see it lift the stains right before my eyes. The white actually came out looking new and sparkling. You wouldn't even think they are the same shorts. It's easy to use. I've actually been using the back of a soft scrub sponge to rub it in with some water. You don't need to purchase their expensive brush.

Does what it says on the tin
Worked very well in removing some tough grease stains from my satin abayas. A quick few scrubs in lukewarm water did the trick. Definitely recommend!

Magic
This bar is like magic. I accidentally left lipstick in the pocket of a pair of pants and didn't realize it until after everything was washed and dried. A friend told me about this bar so I bought it. I hand-washed each item with this bar and re-washed everything in the washing machine and every dried lipstick stain was gone. I could actually see them disappearing when I was hand-washing, though.

Comparative review against Dawn Platinum
Update: Inexpensive luxury. Pulled shirt from closet week later and had fresh "clothes line" smell (few of likely to remember) from my childhood a pleasant reminder.I had men's white dress shirts with persistent collar and cuff stains. I have previously used Oxy MaxForce spray and diluted Oxy crystals to no avail. This Laundress bar is well blogged about but few do any real comparisons, I did and here are my results.I took 8 dress shirts half used the Laundress bar and scrubbed with a nail brush (plus hot water) the other half a splash of Dawn in hot water. I then washed in a front loading machine with Oxy crystals and Persil MaxClean detergent on the 'white' cycle of moderate hot water. The end effect - both did an excellent job of removing the collar stains (mostly skin oils) for the cuff's (both skin oil and dirt) I would give a slight edge to the Laundress which seemed to clean better (but it was slight). Clearly the dirt levels in each shirt was not consistent - but the sample of 8 I felt a fair comparison.Laundress soap bar is a tiny 2 oz, and easy to grip while wet and has a pleasant odor. However bang for the buck, a few cents of Dawn got me 90% of the way there and was the same effort to use.

Works great!
I kept hearing about this soap from various sources recommending it to remove deodorant wax buildup and pit stank from shirts. Finally decided to try it after coming across several recommendations for using on bras.Previously, I used Oxiclean to get out any oils or wax that gets into them. Not sure if they changed the formula but it doesn’t seem to work as well anymore and I find myself having to treat many times to get everything out. It’s a huge waste of time and water. That stuff needs to be fully flushed out of clothing before I can wear it, otherwise it irritates my skin. With this soap, I was able to treat once and get everything out and doesn’t seem to irritate my skin at all. It took some work to carefully work it into the fabric especially around wires or overlapping layers but it pulls out everything with a light scrubbing. You’ll see it in the rinse if it’s a heavy soil. This soap works on dirt, body oils, wax buildup from deodorants, ground in crud from cleaning out a dusty garage and even dried on blood. The soap itself is tiny. Bar soaps last longer than liquid or even powder soaps if you think about it. I’ve treated five entire undergarments plus a shirt and one pair of shorts, having worked the soap into the entire surface and several spot treatments since and the soap has barely shrunk. I think it helps to make sure the soap is put somewhere to fully dry after use.The scent smells like soap you’d find in an elderly woman’s bathroom. You know, the really strong smelling decorative soaps. It’s not too bad but it’s strong. The good thing is that it doesn’t smell as strong once washed out and dissipates more over time once treated items are dry.My only warning is how you order. I put this in a subscription order with supplements and gum. The soap is tiny and fell out of the box during delivery since the tape on the box tore open. I could still tell the soap was in there at some point just based on the smell. I could taste it in my gum and smell it on my supplements. I assume that the soap wasn’t bagged or something, allowing the scent to permeate everything else in the box. Just be careful with combined orders. I wouldn’t order anything that you ingest along with the soap in the same purchase.
