Spectrastone Permaglo Black Lagoon for Freshwater Aquariums, 5-Pound Bag

These stone gravel are perfect for the style I'm going for!! They glow SO bright and I can't help but just stare at the tank sometimes. I will be getting a larger tank soon, so I might just get more of this gravel! I haven't had any issues with the fish being irritated by the gravel, so I'd say they're pretty safe to work with. There's no fish in the tank in these photos because I'll be getting a bigger tank, but in all honesty, this has got to be my favourite gravel decor in all my fish keeping hobby.

Thought I was purchasing black rock and that the Spectrastone and Permaglo were brand names. Well, I have picked all the colored rock out and now my black rock looks great! Have not placed in terrarium just yet. performance to be determined.

I bought one of these and a similar item from Glo Fish I am rinsing it and really no small particles are to be found. I’m still rinsing my bag from Glo Fish 3 days later and scum it still floating to the top! So far this is much better

Large stones, very little if any dust visible in the bag unlike most from the big box stores where a large part of it is simply ground to sand like particles. Not a ton of the florescent stones, but enough to not be tacky. They glow well under shades of blue and purple LED.
