The manual explains it all. Nothing about this device is very intuitive, and you'll want to save that little manual for reference. You can easily switch between the rear and front of the device for the reference edge, and this is one of the most pertinent settings to understand, as it will be relevant depending on the scenario. The electronic level also works but the update/refresh interval is a bit slow/laggy.The device is rated IP54 so splashes of water/rain is fine, immersion underwater is not. The rechargeable battery lasts a decent amount of time after a full charge and I prefer that it is a rechargeable device. Very compact, great stuff.

This product feels substantial in your hand. It's not cheap like that mP3 player you once found in the clearance bin at Mike's Merchandise. The size is much more convenient than clipping the old tape measure to... well, anything. It fits in any pocket. It's not very user friendly but if you can follow the directions or watch the videos others have uploaded, this device could be the bit of modern convenience most people would love to use.
