I wonder if I got DM's returned knife?!?!
I thought Boker was quality. This thing was a complete disappointment. I bought this for my dad's birthday, and let me add that my dad loves it, but more on that in a bit.I ended up buying a Queen and a GEC for myself after I inspected this Boker. One of the handle pins was raised and I can see how it can be an annoyance. I thought that maybe it was the Jigged Bone that didn't let the pin sit flush, but the opposite side doesn't have the same problem. Also, towards the bottom end bolster, on the liner side I can see the most minute gap between the bone and the liner, not because the bone is pulling away, but because there was a hairline fracture at some point in the bone. Now, my dad...he turned 60 and he's a no frills cowboy and doesn't know one steel from another, but he wanted a Boker (memories) and wanted it sharp (why even bother carrying a blunt knife). He doesn't care that the pin isn't flush or this, or that...so I kept it and gave it to him. I was able to put a wicked edge on it relatively easy before wrapping it for him and I will probably fix the protruding pin with the Dremel.Take this review as you need...If you don't care about aesthetics, I'm sure this will be a great knife. But, if you consider the long history that Boker has, one should expect this knife to be more aesthetically pleasing in my opinion.

What happened to quality assurance, Böker?
I ordered this knife, and upon inspection I noticed the bone handle was cracked and the grooves were unfinished (there were still large filings still attached to it). The company I ordered it from was gracious enough to replace it free of charge. The replacement knife was ALSO unfinished (the little brass nails that attach the bone to the metal-frame weren't fully inserted, and they protrude enough to snag on clothing, fingernails, etc.)My question is: What's the deal, Böker?? You think your knives justify the inflated price? I disagree, since you can't seem to inspect your own work before shipping it off to vendors. After all this, I would've been MUCH happier spending LESS money on an "Old Timer" which is available at most sporting goods stores. At least then I'd get the chance to inspect it with my own eyes & hands.

Disappointed, expected better
I expected better from this brand. The spey blade rubs and the clip blade is either bent or has a bad grind making it appear bent. The fit and finish are just OK. I was hoping for something closer to Case quality.

Should be better
Two things wrong with the bone handle.1-One side of the yellow bone handle does not fit properly leaving a rough edge.2-One of the pins holding the handle together is not flush.I expected better quality from this brand

Love this Boker
Love this Boker! Blades are not as thick as I thought they would be and the color is slightly off from true black, but these are minor issues. Also, be vary careful as the blades are supper sharp!

TreeBrand, some of the best made knives that I have, and i'm a collector of 100's
Scary sharp and made by people who knows what's expected from a knife when it's life or death!
