Daylight 5000K 1600 lumen bulbs provide a bright, invigorating light.
The bulbs do brighten up a room with a clear invigorating light. I am using them in a workout room where there are 10 wall lights and a two-bulb ceiling fan light. The two ceiling fan LED lights were recommended by a salesperson at a local hardware store to replace old CFL bulbs. Everything about the LED lights was superior to the CFL bulbs, which prompted me to purchase the Feit LED 10-pack for the walls. When installed, the Feit bulbs were wonderful. They changed the mood of the room, giving it a bright sunlit feeling – great for a workout. They have been on the job eight months and they are still lighting the room just as they did on day one. Although satisfied with the purchase, I am giving four stars because it has only been a short eight months. The test for the fifth star will be performance over time.Side Note: I am no lighting expert, but it has helped me greatly becoming familiar with the Kelvin temperature (K) and Lumen scales. Kelvin is the color temperature: 2000-3000K = warm white light, 3100-4500K = cool white light, 4600-6500K = daylight. Lumens indicate the amount of visible light emitted. When looking for bulb replacements, a couple basic numbers to help get an idea of how much light will be output are: a 60-watt incandescent bulb emits about 800 lumens and a 100-watt incandescent bulb emits around 1600. Tables for both Kelvin and Lumen scales are discoverable online.

Bright white light! Too cold for interior spaces, but perfect for a garage or storage room.
Noticeably brighter than 60W LED bulbs. These 5000K bulbs are a bright white, like fluorescent lighting. For me, they're too "cold" for interior living spaces, and don't look inviting when used in exterior lighting fixtures. But they are ideal for lighting up a garage, which is what I ended up using them for. As an aside, Feit does make 100W versions of these in a warmer 3000K (bright white) color temperature, but they're only available in a 4 pack. I bought the 3000K versions for my porch lights. Each of these bulbs is claimed to produce 1600 lumens of light output. Install a 3 light fixture and put these babies in it, and you've got light output that's comparable to a T8 fluorescent fixture, while using less energy and not having to deal with the hassle of fluorescent lighting tubes.Or better yet, buy porcelain lamp splitters like these (make sure you get UL rated ones like these because there's a lot of dodgy ones sold on Amazon that aren't and could be a fire hazard): eTopLighting Porcelain Four Head Light Bulb Socket Splitter E26/E27 Edison Base 4-in-1 Lamp Splitter Bulb Adapter, 250V Max 660 Wattage, APL1674 . You'll get a unbelievable amount of light in your garage - a theoretical 6400 lumens of light output with zero light restriction from a shade or cover. That's about 2X what you'd get from a T8 fluorescent light fixture. OMG, these are bright! I have a 3 car garage with 4 light sockets. With 16 bulbs installed across 4 lamp splitters, my garage is so insanely bright now. It makes it a joy to work on car and house projects in my man cave.Other than color temperature, my only complaints with these 5000K bulbs are that they're only available in a 10 pack, and that they're also much cheaper at Costco.

I LOVE it!
I wanted to stop using the squiggly bulbs, They NEVER lasted their projected life span, were rather expensive , and IF I got 6 months out of the 5 year bulbs I was lucky. These were $10.00 each at wal mart, so I tried one of them, just to see if technology had caught up to these new fangled LED light bulbs yet & I was pleasantly surprised. I LOVE it !! It isn't like the old led where you needed 4 of the 1000 watt bulbs to give you a dimly lit room !I bought this 10 pack for a few dollars more than the Wal Mart $10 single bulb ,plus got free shipping here on amazon and I am so happy with my purchase. I can see my wrinkles now ! They have already lasted longer the the squiggly bulbs & my world is now so MUCH BRIGHTER! I recommend whole heartedly. The daylight give you a bright intensity over the soft white. I find I prefer that because I like to see small details like daylight shows me.

A long-life, reliable, energy saving bright LED bulb.
This LED bulb is for those of us who are not happy with the brightness of other LED bulbs. Let's be honest: all LED bulbs save money. So what's the complaint about a minimal increase in energy consumption for a large increase in light output. These bulbs cast light unlike any other LED bulb that I have used. So much so that, e.g., fewer lamps can be used in a large living room at night. We use them in covered outdoor lamps where a great deal of light is needed, and in the dark recesses of our large windowless basement. These same bulbs that we purchased over a year ago are still working flawlessly, without a single failure. No bulb is worth the energy savings if it is expensive (compared to a standard bulb) & has a short life. These are reliable AND bright. Also, the price is an excellent deal compared to competitors with even less light.

Great 100w incandecent replacements
FEIT makes good "stuff". However, I measured these with a LUX meter and they do lose power after a few minutes. It could be that ALL LEDs do this, but I only have FEIT and another brand here I have bought through Amazon (I am not allowed to say their name in a review), but both lose LUX power after a few minutes. My eye didn't notice the 6 LUX power drop, but the meter did. FEIT lost the least power of any other brand I have tried so far. One brand, claimed to have more wattage (17w) but were not as bright (LUX power at 70" from the ceiling to my work bench) but were not as bright as these. I'd buy these again -- if I ever need to. Great 100w incandescent equivalent replacements!

3+ years running almost constantly
I have four of them running 95%+ of the time over the last 3 years and still working fine. Price has almost doubled since I purchased in early 2017 though (I paid 38) Other than that these are some solid bulbs. Just went through my order history to see what the color temp was because I want to match that with some other bulbs. Then decided to review.
