Everything you need
This is my first attempt to sharpen a chain saw. The sharpening guide shows angles to hold file and prevents you from going too deep. The depth gauge didn't seem to fit my chain. With the depth gauge made out of aluminum, there is concern of filling the gauge making your chain saw cut deeper and deeper every time you use it. It could also be my lack of knowledge using it.

Chainsaw Sharpener File Kit
Received it and used it right away now my chain is nice and sharp again. I have some apple trees and they are real hard wood. My electric chain saw was having trouble cutting them. Now it is like cutting butter.

Great chain maintenance kit
My only comment is with the tool pouch. It needs to be more accommodating for the tools that are provided in the kit making sure you can properly secure all tools in the pouch.

File arrived warped
One of the round files was warped, not allowing it to pass thru the file guide smoothly. When I tried to straighten it out, it snapped. Which was maybe my fault if maybe I used too much pressure, which I didn't try to do. So, I'll buy another file to replace it. This time I'll try a different brand.Saw a guy on youtube, put one in a drill and use it to sharpen his chain. I did the same, this time purposely breaking one in half, put it in an electric drill and sharpened the chainsaw, worked relatively well, was a little wobbly , but was much quicker than hand filing. Will use this method in the future.

Should have bought long ago.
So easy I'm not sure why I was paying $8 per chain to have it sharpened all these years. Minus 1 star for the lackluster case which is too small and has mystifying fastener locations.

The files themselves are of good quality as well as the handles
The files themselves are of good quality as well as the handles. My only complaint so far is that once assembled none of the items fit back into the case you have to completely take apart everything in order for it to fit back in the case this is inconvenient and time-consuming. Other than that I have no issues with this I am so far

Good but time-consuming
I was trying not to throw away things, and chains just wear down too fast. So I bought this set to renew one. It seems to sharpen reasonably well, but it took a long time. For the price, it's a pretty good bargain. On the other hand, it not easy to get the alignment just right.

Decent files and file clamp, depth gauge found wanting
File and handles are fine, the depth gauge is soft enough and has its edges vulnerable, which means as you file your chain you are also cutting the depth gauge itself, and it will change quite rapidly as it gets used. The oregon depth gauge has a flat surface that the file can skate across more easily.
