The Treasure: (Caldecott Honor Book) (Sunburst Book)

The story. The illustrations. The message. I love this book.

This is another of the titles I chose to add to my personal collection after retiring as a children's librarian. It is a simple tale with a deep message which is accessible at different levels to all ages. The beautiful color illustrations are equal to the text and are the reason this book won a Caldecott Honor Award. This was one of my sons' favorite book when he was younger.

my son LOVES this book. he has ever since he was 1 1/2 or so & he'll be 3 in a while. i don't know why but it was an early-on favorite. he will listen intently and "read" along - i had left our first copy on the airplane and had to have it replaced immediately.

My 4 children grew up with me reading this book to them and we always loved this story. Somehow through the years it was lost so I was able to find it here...great book!

Came in before I knew it. Been looking for a hardback version for a while. My old softback version is slightly wrinkled with wear since I use it to read to young people. So glad to have this one for the permanent library.

My son enjoyed it

I read an article on this book in Homeschooling Today magazine. Since I am a homeschooling mother of 4 small children and love children's literature I decided to purchase the book. I was not disappointed. The story has a wonderful message and shows any reader, young or old, how blessed you are when you take time to listen.

This is one of the first books my grown son bought for his daughter. Beautifully illustrated! Lovely story.
