We got it all together and the bottom right corner had about 5-6 pieces missing, very frustrating!!!! Now how do I send it back and get my money back?

The “Old Barn” is a wonderful copy of an artist’s painting of three barns along a rapidly flowing stream in the country. The puzzle is shipped in a sturdy box, with the 1000 pieces placed inside a zip-locked bag along with an actual-sized color picture of the puzzle. The picture provides important guidance to the user since the puzzle has challenging sections. The top layer of the puzzle pieces are laminated and glossy which brightens the color of the country scene.Problems were observed with some puzzle pieces when they were removed from the plastic bag. To explain, each puzzle piece had 3 layers, a laminated top face as already mentioned, a thicker cardboard stock interior, and a thin white paper backing. The three layers of some of the individual puzzle pieces had begun separating especially in the “tab” and “arm” areas. Larger pieces appeared more susceptible than smaller pieces to this defect and accounted for 8% of all pieces in the puzzle. In fact, the laminated face of two pieces of the puzzle had completely separated from their cardboard stock while in the bag and I had to re-attach these layers with a glue stick. Not cool. The percentage of pieces with layer separation seemed to increase as the puzzle was being put together. The end result is a puzzle surface that is not always completely flat but undulating or bumpy due to layer separation and uneven layer expansion in some pieces and not others. The manufacturer needs to get on top of quality control in the gluing process to ensure uniformity within each puzzle piece or customers will go elsewhere.The puzzle came with all 1000 pieces. It was a fun puzzle despite the irritation about poor quality control. For this reason I rate the “Old Barn” a 4. It is not a puzzle for beginners and certainly. the age requirement of “8 years and up” is overstated at the lower age end. I’ll wait until I see some improvements from the manufacturer on quality control before buying another puzzle from the company. Meanwhile, give this challenging puzzle a try, but bring a glue stick.

Much better looking than the picture on the box when done. The pieces are sturdy and snap together well. The image is HD. It comes with a full sized poster as well. The puzzle isn't terribly hard. The hardest part was probably the stone beach. But when it's done it looks fantastic. I like this kind of scene. :-)

Every year my family puts together a puzzle that is laid out on a table and as a person walks by will place 2 or 3 pieces so that by Christmas it is completed. It’s passive fun! This puzzle is so cute it will make us chuckle!!
