I bought this product because I had some cuts and scratches on my leather sofa and it’s such an amazingly comfortable one that I didn’t want to throw away. I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful this repair turned out. The cuts were 1 inch and 2 inches, for one I used the backing material for the other I just connected the pieces together with the adhesive in place, under the hot air of the hairdryer. I used thin layers of adhesive with 15 min in between the applications until the pieces came together in a line. I applied the adhesive than used the sponge to distribute it evenly. (I also used the sponge in other different areas of the couch, where it was just worn out a bit, swiping some adhesive all over those areas with the sponge and later with some paint, to avoid future breaks). After it was all dry to the touch I went on to apply the color. I was a little stressed about getting the right color, I tried white and yellow but it was too yellowish for my cream off white couch. The yellow is very bright and even if I used a tiny bit it seemed like it was too much. Then my husband suggested we add a bit of brown to what I already had (white and bit of yellow combo) and we got the perfect match. I applied the color with the color applicator and used the sponge only around the sealed cut. I used 3 layers, with 15 min in between applications, using a hairdryer, until I could not see the line formed by the connected pieces. I tried using the leather sample included to give my repair a leather texture but I just didn’t find a use for it, maybe I did not use it right, so the next day I used the sand paper swiping it around the cut a few times and got a smooth finish. Being so happy with the results I went on and used the product to fix a vinyl mattress and a wallet, also with great results. Now I am just looking around the house to find new stuff to fix. I wish I would have bought this earlier but I never thought these things actually work. This kit is amazing and I am very happy with this purchase. This is the first product of this kind I used, I am usually good at crafting, but I also think the materials included are great to work with, there is plenty of color and I found the adhesive to be very fast drying. The only thing I didn’t use was the leather texture, but my couch looks great without it. Thank you for a great product!

We had a 4" tear on the top of a sofa. There was plenty of product to make the repair, and with lots of colors included, potential for matching almost any color of fabric with mixing. Because of the 2-tone look of my fabric, I did have a very difficult time matching the colors and replicating the pattern of the existing fabric. And I never could get the texture to work because the edges dried quicker than the center (I was using a hair dryer to quicken the process, so probably user error. I have used similar products in the past that require a heated "tool" to imprint the texture, and for me, that worked better. Instructions were very clear and easy to follow, so any issues I had were essentially user error because I was in a hurry. I may attempt to start over in the future when I have more time and can wait for the product to dry naturally. I WILL recommend this product to others and will use it again in the future.

As a favor to my wife, I've been trying to recondition a leather couch that has become well worn. I found this on Amazon and bought the kit. Though the instructions were clear and easy to follow, I initially had some trouble color matching the leather of my couch.On a whim, I decided to contact the company and incidentally, the owner and CEO, Steven, responded and did several custom paint mixtures to help out and see if it would produce a better match.Looking at the pictures he sent, I noticed that several of the mixtures that he tried out had colors that were not included in the kit I purchased, and when I responded, they sent me a new kit free of charge. That was definitely above and beyond what I had expected, and I am quite grateful.From my brief conversations with the company, I have learned that they are a small family-owned enterprise. Personally, I think they are well worth supporting, given their product and service, especially during times like these.I've included a photo of the preliminary results. On the left side, I used the new paints they sent me (around the piping), and the right side was original couch piping. There is clearly an improvement. I will do a little more work on this, but it seems to be off to a good start, and I certainly appreciate the company's dedicated service.

I looked at lots of repair kits and took a chance on this one. I imagine it's as good or better than most of them. But when you open the box you will likely say "I paid HOW much for THIS!" The main ingredient (filler) I'm almost certain is simply Elmer's glue. You get LOTS of little cheap scrap things (like a push pin, sandpaper, a piece of foam, small pieces of cloth, etc). The paint is probably the most expensive component, and you DO get a lot of colors (if seven is a lot) for mixing.The final results on my cracked vinyl dashboard were only so-so. Its very difficult to time the drying of the paint so that you are able to push a vinyl-like texture pattern (really just a scrap of vinyl) into the almost-dry paint. I tried several time, and ended up with something that looks better than the cracked area, but its still obvious it was an amateur patch job. PRO: I've got enough left stuff to start my own redneck upholstery repair shop!

I haven’t tried it yet but looks very easy to apply!

Compré este producto para reparar una zona del interior de mi coche a la que le habían aparecido grietas debido al uso, y que además tenía una mancha de bebida que no conseguía quitar. Nunca había usado este tipo de producto y era un poco escéptica. El proceso de reparación de la piel es muy sencillo. Lo que fue más complicado fue devolverle el color. Contacté con el vendedor, quien muy amablemente me ayudó a encontrar el color más parecido al original de mi coche. Creo que esto es lo que más destacaría y lo que me lleva a escribir este comentario. Teniendo en cuenta que es un coche de alta gama - Maserati Sabba- y que cambiar la pieza me hubiera costado un dineral, no puedo estar más contenta con este producto y con el servicio de este vendedor. Apenas se nota que la piel ha sufrido una reparación. Y todo por ese precio. Lo recomiendo 100%

The product that came was not the same as the product described. Absolutely hopeless. Tried it on the leather seats of my car. It was so bad that I had to get new leather covers put.

Wife sat on a cabling needle (like a knitting needle but with a point on both ends) ouch! Now I had a big dilemma, do I show concern about her injury or worry about the hole in the cream leather sofa. Solution was easy I went onto amazon and ordered this kit for delivery the next day.When it arrived I fixed the sofa in half an hour with a perfect near invisible repair.Just in case you think I am an uncaring chauvinist pig I can assure you I am not! Before I went onto amazon I told her where she could find an Elastoplast to staunch the bleeding which if it had dripped on the carpet would have resulted in us having to get stain remover as well.No one can accuse me of being inconsiderate.As regards the kit it is far more complete than I expected and contains everything you will need to carry out minor repairs to leather upholstery including applicator tools and instructions on how to mix/blend the colour you are trying to achieve. Actually quite simple to achieve a very good result if you take your time and are patient.Would definitely recommend this kit as very good value which will get used again I am sure.
