Never Girls #5: Wedding Wings (Disney: The Never Girls)

My 6 year old daughter is a big fan of Disney Fairies. Her favorite color is blue so her favorite fairy is Silvermist. She has been a big fan of the Pixie Hollow Tales book series and we probably have a dozen of those books. When we saw this new series, we picked up the first book as soon as we could. The first Never Girls book was great. It had a slightly lower reading level making it a better reading book for my daughter. She is good with the first series, but struggles on a few words here and there. In addition, there is a lot of consistency between the Never Girls series and the Pixie Hollow series meaning some of the terms that are unique to the Disney Fairies universe are used in both books. The consistency makes the new series a great compliment to the original. Now that we knew she loved the Never Girls series, we ordered books 2 and 3, which she finished in a matter of a few days, and pre-ordered books 4, 5 and 6. Once Never Girls #4 arrived, she finished it in a matter of days and really enjoyed it just like the previous books. We have since ordered every book in this series. My daughter's second grade teacher got her started on these books by giving her the first one as a birthday gift. She loves the series as they are written in a child's "voice". The only draw back is that the reading level does not tend to progress as the series goes on (as some other series books do). For that reason, they aren't as challenging to her as they used to be, and she is unable to test on them at school through the Accelerated Reader Program. With that said, she still enjoys getting the new books as they are released and reads them for fun:)

I purchased this book for my daughter after we read Never Girls' Books 1-4 . Gabby is invited to be the flower girl at her babysitter, Julia's wedding. A stowaway fairy who wants to see what a human (clumsy) wedding is like leads to chaos that ultimately ends well.

My daughter (5) loves these stories! She is not reading them independently, I read them at story time each night. I was surprised with the few pictures they would hold her attention, but they do. She looks forward to seeing what will happen next each night. We love these, and the other Disney Fairies chapter books!

I got this for my daughter who loves fairies as change of pace to Daisy Meadows. They are a little higher on the RL scale and fit for her school levels. Nice reading.

My daughter loves these books! They are perfect for her reading level, but we love reading them together. These books are part of the Accelerated Reader program, so if your child's school uses that then it's perfect for those who are reading on a second/third grade level.

My four and six year old girls LOVE this series! So do I! It's fun, sweet & wholesome reading for young girls.
