Great!
I bought this to seal my kitchen coubtertops. I applied 4 coats and it looks great! The smell isn't unbearable as mentioned it is very minimal which was great since I had paint smells overpowering the area already. It is pricey but if I don't have to redo my countertops again it will be worth it, time will tell!

I've been using this stuff for years, and I LOVE it! I'm thrilled to find it in a gallon size! The water clean-up can't be beat! It's low odor and quick-drying. My favorite is the clear gloss finish (everything looks so clean when it's shiny!) though I've used the matte for a couple things, such as the aqua color on the door trim shown in the picture. I mixed a dark teal stain in with the matte finish til I got the color I wanted and put a coat on the baseboard/door trim after 2 coats of gloss...wiped off the excess so the color was only in the design, and sealed with 2 more gloss coats. Absolutely love this Minwax product and I hope it's around for as long as I am!

Great product; terrible seller (shipped leaky pale / cleaning nightmare)
I have NEVER been more disappointed with an amazon order. After opening the box, the pale of polyacrylic was sealed tight with bubble wrap and tape. 'Ok' I thought; 'Thats good they were careful with it'.WRONG!The pale was leaking from the bottom and by wrapping it tight they prevented the box from getting wet so I'd accept the package. I didn't realize until after beginning to take off the bubble wrap that it was slightly drippping. I had gotten polyacrylic drips (that by this time had started drying) on my wood floor, my HANDMADE coffee table, my countertop, my jeans, and my shirt. Once I realized it was leaking, I thankfully had another pale (the old poly I was almost out of) that I could pour the new stuff in. Otherwise, I don't know what I would have done. In the process of disposing of the wrapping, transferring it to the old pale, etc, I got poly all over me.Normally I would just assume that it was damaged in shipping. However, the fact that in the box it was wrapped tight and inside there was poly everywhere leads me to believe that they saw the (likely) small leak, and just hoped it would be ok. It was NOT ok, by the time it arrived it turned into a nightmare for me the customer.tldr: Stay away unless you want a leaky pale and a cleaning nightmare/ruined clothes.
