Longboard Nose and Tail Guard by Griffin Boards

These are awesome. If you don't wrap the entire nose or tail, you can manage to protect two decks with 1 to 1 1/4 strips. A tip when cutting it to size, there are sheet metal U plates in the entire strip. each line divides them. I wasn't paying attention but managed to cut through them figuring out in the end. Kinda busted the edge of my knife because of it... There are two 3-4" thin foam padding strips for cushion.. They are pretty bulky soif you're going for sleek and stealthy, these wont do the job unless you do some modding.

My folks got me this sick Santa Cruz longboard and I haven't taken it anywhere since Christmas... I asked for a blank deck to beat around and paint myself cuz my first one is over 3 years old, been to hell and back, and I wanted to try a new style of deck (pintails aren't really made for carving)... but they got me this beautiful masterpiece Santa Cruz lion face board knowing full well I'm the type of person that likes to keep pretty things looking pretty smh at least it's a different style of board.So anyway, I decided I'll just use it to cruise between classes at school for a while. In the mean time, I want to keep the ends of the board safe.5 stars for now. Not bad aesthetically and it looks like it'll keep my ends safe from the off chance I let it slip and slam a curb. I'll definitely update this when things warm up, get dry, and actually ride my board.(kids, DON'T ride your board when the tar is wet. It ruins the bearings. Urks me every time I see it on campus.)

Fantastic nose tail guard. Forget cheap car door protectors or door insulation. This is the real deal made specifically for your board. VERY HEAVY DUTY. Thick rubber and metal protection. A must for electric longboards where high speed impacts will mess up the board.

Nothing about this was appealing. It’s thick, visually intrusive, and a real pain to install. It does not arrive preshaped but rather looks like it was cut off of a larger roll like a piece of tubing. No directions included. And because of its design, the bumper really did not want to bend around the shape of the board without a great deal of wrestling. Not much care was given to the design or production of this item. Hell it even arrived late. I give the seller credit for addressing the package delay quickly but the product itself was simply unusable and I ended up going with something else. Yes it is very affordable but you do get what you pay for. Wasn’t even worth a return.

It works but the look of it is not great. Manufacturers should refine for better looks. To my eye it looks like it was designed for auto applications repurposed for this. The pictures look way better than it does in reality.

It's a little thinner than other guards I've bought, but it fits on my board and seems it will do the job.

Guards were quite stiff out of the package, but weren't too hard to apply to my S9 Lookout. They don't exactly look great, but they protect the board excellently and that's what I care about.

All I can say is this nose guard saved my board from being destroyed and now I'm buying more for my other boards.
