Works great
Got this for my 18 bass boat and. Love it being older makes it hard to winch by hand and I don’t trust myself motoring all the way up to the bow stop so it takes a bit longer because it is a little slow but people can wiait for me to be done at the ramp. As mentioned by others the power cord is a bit short if you rely on your boat battery or the front end of your car, so I had to ad about 10 ft or wire. The remote works great as long as the power cord is plugged in. The mounting holes on the base of the winch do not exactly line up with the holes of your manual winch so I had to do some fiddling to add big washers and bolts. No complaints for the price so far… but during installation the winch fell down and the plastic cover corked and broke. Amazon prime covered the return for a new one. Thank you much, very pleased.

Works great!
I use it to load generators (mine and two friends) via a ramp onto my two wheel trailer.

Careful what you buy, this is not a 6,000 winch for a boat
Says pulling up to 6,000 so you assume it does, when the box arrives and you look at the spec and your going to pull a boat that is on a decline it drops to 1,000 then doubled up 2,000 no where near what you expect because they leave out the specs from the ad, move on buy another POS deceptive advertising, yeah and it came with no bolts to mount either!

this is easy to use but slow and short cords
The media could not be loaded. This is an emergency winch or a winch for close in use. The winch speed is slow, like watching grass grow. The book says about 4 feet a minute. Pack a lunch if you are winching the length of the cable. It will take about 9 minutes each time you winch something. The cord with the clamps is short about nine feet. Too short to go from the bumper of a Rav4 to the engine compartment. You will need to have a front hitch, another vehicle or jumper cables. They don’t tell you how long the winch cable is until you have bought it and read the manual. The length is 10.5 meters. I let out about 10 feet of cable and pulled a cut log. It was really soooo slow. I guess it has to be for the gearing. The power cables are not very heavy. I think the first thing I would do is buy a set of jumper cables that would reach from the front of my car to the back. Cut the clamps off one end and use a butt splice close to where the cables connect to the winch. They show a picture of this mounted on a boat trailer. I have no idea how they did that without some welding and long wiring from the battery to the hitch. This was not what I was expecting and that is mainly because they just don’t tell you a lot about this until you have it. Unless you have a lot of patience and a lot of time, I just can’t see this as a great help. If you are using this to pull your boat onto the trailer, you will tie up the ramp and lose a lot of friends. My suggestion is to get an ATV winch. They are better made and have longer cable.

Junk. Broke the first time it was used.
Wound the cable out and it would not wind back in with the motor or by hand. Had to get my boat on the trailer with a ratchet strap. If you by this product you better have a backup solution so you are not stuck in a bad situation.
