MonteverdeCapless Gel Ballpoint Refill to Fit Parker Ballpoint Pens, Fine Point, Turquoise, 2 per Pack (P422TQ)

I was looking for fine point Parker gel refills. Parker doesn't seem to make fine point in blue any longer so I thought I would give Monteverde a try. The flow of the pen is fine. The color is good. It's not as fine as I was hoping (very similar to a medium point Parker Gel Refill). But probably the one factor that puts this pen refill at two stars is that the ink doesn't dry quickly. Ink seems be thicker at different places (slight blotting) but in those areas it appears to stay in gel form, that is, still smearing 10-20 minutes after writing. I write in a Moleskine booklet in case some were wondering what paper I use. Also, I had just finished writing with a Parker Fine Point blue gel refill, so the comparison was easy to do.EDIT: Since my initial review in 2017, I have used no less than 14 Monteverde refills over the last 3 years. I've used two of each of these colors, green, brown, orange, purple, dark blue, blue, and turquoise. I am upgrading my rating to five stars because I have not had any of the smearing that occurred with the first set of refills. I think that warrants changing the rating from 2 stars and I am sorry I hadn't updated it before now (May, 2020).Incidentally, and for those who are interested, I not only use these refills in Parker pens, I retrofit them into the Mont Blanc roller ball pens (the one's with a cap because those refills are expensive and the ink goes quick). I've also retrofitted them into Cross roller ball pens (pens with a cap). So, if you have a roller ball pen with a cap, you could use this refill (cartridge - for lack of a better term) with some added modifications (basically spacers at the butt of the refill) and now be able not only to use roller ball ink, but gel, AND ball point pen ink if you chose. How 'bout them apples.

Granted, if Monteverde made toilet paper, it would probably cost $10 per roll. But, you can't argue with the quality. I use a lot of Parker-style Monteverde inkfills (I'm a penturner and sell them with this ink as an option) and I've never had a single one that didn't write like silk; the closest thing to a rollerball in a Parker-style inkfill I've yet to find in writing smoothness.No skipping while writing (even in the lighter colors), and no scratching needed to start writing again. Both the writing feel and cap-off are just perfect. The ink does seem to dry just ever so slightly slower than some, but I've never had a smudge, feathering or bleed problem on any paper I've used with these. The colors are vibrant and don't look cheap, plus Monteverde offers colors that are very difficult to find elsewhere in Parker-style ballpoint inkfills. And, they last a long time. Monteverde doesn't give you half-full inkfills (and shouldn't at the price!)Sometimes, quality just costs money, but you get what you pay for.

If you want a nice gel ink for a Parker compatible ballpoint pen, this is a great choice.

Just reordered another pack because they write great and ones I had for awhile was leaking. Got new ones less than a month ago and doing the same thing. Write great but not lasting long enough.

I haven't been using my parker jotter, mostly because the refill's have been sub-par. I had Parker's "Quickflow" in a medium. Terrible, difficult to write with, not enough ink flow. Monteverde's refill is a million times better. I got the fine and its fantastic. Much better ink flow, very smooth. This refill has made me love this pen again. I'll be buying these again, for sure.

I bought two refills in a package a month ago. One of the refills appears to be out of ink, or the ink is clogged. The ball still goes around, but no ink comes out. If this is the case, this is not a good purchase. While it worked, the ink flowed nicely, but it did smear if my left hand (I write left handed)My biggest issue is that these refills don't seem to last long at all.

PROS: The gel ink application is excellent. I LOVE the way these refills write. The ink flows very nicely from these refills. I use the fine point and it leaves a beautiful, solid and full line of blue ink. Couldn't ask for better quality.CONS: They don't last very long, so use of my pen has gotten quite expensive. Honestly, I think it's because it is a gel ink - the cartridge really doesn't hold that much ink - so you go through a lot of these if you do a lot of writing.Nevertheless, even with the "con" of low quantity - the "pro" of quality outweighs that issue ten fold.If you need an ink refill in this design, you won't be disappointed.

I bought Parker 2times. But, I received un usable products two times. Return and re funded. But it is disaster.. this products quality is great and perfect. Further to quality, delivery is fast.. I really satisfied and write review to let know every customer who want to buy gel refill.. I strongly recommend this products..

Si tienes un bolígrafo Rotring (en mi caso es un Rapid Pro) y queréis pasar a tinta de gel, esta es una de las mejores opciones que hay. Ajusta perfectamente y tiene un buen secado.He tenido una mejor experiencia con Monteverde que con Parker. El pack que he comprado son dos unidades, considero que es un poco caro el recambio, pero la calidad en la escritura lo vale.

The ink takes a while to dry.

Beautifully smooth to write with. A real pleasure to use. I would never use a biro refill again. Gel all the way from now on. The turquoise colour is stunning.
