Q: What do you use to lube the zipper?

Watertight zippers are stiff, that is, they are tough to operate. A lot of zipper lubricants use wax or silicon to ease the operation and you can use any of them with confidence. Although I haven't tried this, some people say you can just rub beeswax on a zipper. There are many zipper lubricants on the market, some of the brands are Cordova Watertight zipper lube, Gear Aid wax lubricant stick, Zipper Ease lubricant. You can find many of these elsewhere on amazon. Best of luck and I Hope this helps!!

Q: Zipper won’t open - brand new cooler. Anyone else have this problem?

We have two of these coolers and love them. We lube them when they start getting too tight. We use the lube that comes with them, but another person provided some ideas for brands that you can buy.

Q: Does this come with a strap for the option to carry it over the shoulder?

Mine did not. There are hooks the a strap could be attached to, though.
