Bought as a replacement, but would not power lights on

Old brightech 2w lights solar panels were starting to fade so I asked brightech if they had replacements. The old light strings still in good shape after 3.5 yrs. They told me about these new improved panels so I went for them. Almost 6 months now and they work better than the old. Lights used to be on 6-7 hours old ones, new panels last more like 10 hours. Lights seem brighter too. I also have similar 1w lights almost 4 years old. The solar plastic panels literally disintegrated in the desert heat after 4 years. So I thought I’d order these new panels and try them since same connectors. Yes overrated for the lights, but for the price I gave it a shot. Plus all the work of removing old lights and restringing new. They are incredible! The 1w are about as bright as my 2w strings. AND they last from dusk till dawn! Not sure how they’ll last, but at $35-50 for new lights and the work of replacing, I’m sure happy with trying them out, 5 months now.

I wish I could give this five stars. The product overall, when it works is great, however they fail too often for me. When we first bought our strands, everything was great, but less than a year later one of the charging panels failed. As the product was still under warranty, the panel was replaced free of charge. Their customer service is TOP NOTCH. Unfortunately a year later another panel failed and i had to buy a replacement. No issues with the products other than the life of the product.

Bought this to replace a solar panel on an outdoor light set. The previous one lasted year-round for almost 4 years. Hope this one lasts as long!
