Baby loves the surprise mirror at the end
I got this book because my son fell in love with the original Peek a Who book. I was excited to see there are a couple other Peek A books out there. I now have Peek a Who, Peek a Moo, and now this Peek a Zoo book. This Peek A Zoo book is zoo animal themed. One page is a peek a boo cutout then the next reveals a word or animal that rhymes with “zoo.” It falls a little flat compared to the original but really how many words can rhyme with “zoo?” Some of the words are a little bit of a rhyming stretch but that’s fine because this is for a baby. It’s a very short read with only a couple animals but the last page in all of these books are a mirror that says “Peek A You!” My 7 month old son loves it and smiles and laughs every time. This book is 100% worth it for his reaction.

Perfect for a budding toddler
I personally liked this one much better than the much popular peek-a-who. But this book cannot be started as an infant like the other one though,1 yr is the minimum age for this book as the book shows less common animals. My son started this book at 17 months and he used to love it at the time, he still picks it up occasionally. We loved the tiny pics of vegetables around the mirror on the last page (a feature that none of the other books in this series have, though all the books in this series have a mirror at the last page), my son used to love naming the vegetables, it was a very useful feature. I found almost $7 to be too pricey for this simple and tiny book, so I got it second hand from amazon for a total of $4 with shipping. Ideal age is 14 months-2.5 yrs.

Not as great as Peek a Who but still a super cute book
My kids absolutely loved Peek a Who when they were younger so I was excited to see that there was another book out by the same author in the same format. This is a really cute book but it isn't as great as Peek a Who. While Peek a Who works and flows perfectly some of Peek a Zoo seems to be a bit of a stretch to find words that rhyme with Zoo. It's still a really cute book and had I not read Peek a Who first I probably would be giving Peek a Zoo 5 stars but it somewhat pales in comparison to the original.

Cute but Peek a Who is better!
I bought this book since my sons favorite book is Peek a Who. This book is a little disappointing and my son still prefers Peek a Who.

Cute book
I ordered this as a Christmas gift for my 1.5 year old who is just starting to realize that books are more than just for chewing on. She absolutely loves it. My 5 year old is able to read it to her, which makes her day, and she loves the mirror at the end of the book.

Mirror at The end!
Cute. Similar to the others, but they are different enough. Mirror at the end. My daughter loves these books.
