Senco 08S250W003 2-1/2" x #8 Duraspin Collated Composite Decking Screws with Grey Weatherex 3 Finish - 800 per Package

This item was shipped promptly & arrived ahead of schedule.The screws are exactly as described, and worked great.We used them on Trex decking boards. The square drive prevents slipping and stripping; and the heads didn't cause cupping on the boards.

The screws arrived as expected and in fine shape. My peeve w/ composite decking screws is that they all say non-mushrooming but all of them do it. Also, when countersinking the double thread strips out the wood joist before it can suck down to the framing. Perhaps someone will manufacture a composite screw that performs like a conventional deck screw. These did manage to feed all right (but not great) in my Makita screw gun. I think the plastic strip needs to be just a bit stiffer.

Ran a couple thousand of these through my Senco Duraspin, experience none of the issues mentioned in previous review. Ran it side by side with QuikDrive system, the Senco system was faster and less problematic. Screws performed well, did not mushroom on my decking, pulled decking tight to framing. Always good to check compatibility with differently manufactured systems
