The Anti Inflammatory Diet Cookbook: No Hassle 30-Minute Recipes to Reduce Inflammation

Quick, simple, good :)
This may be my first amazon review but I have to take the time because I have been so happy with this purchase. There are both inflammatory issues and systemic autoinflammatory diseases in my family so we have been moving toward an anti-inflammatory diet, something that has had some resistance previously from my husband. Taking advantage of his recent interest based on doctor recommendations, I purchased this and another cookbook about a month ago. I have been using this one daily. I’ve never had a cookbook I used daily and often only use one or two recipes before they make their way into the donate pile. But this one has been different. 30 minutes or less actually holds true. The recipes are simple and don’t require a ton of ingredients - we’d already moved toward a lot of the “different” ingredients like coconut aminos and almond flour so they use things we had on hand or were used to buying. Flavors have been consistently enjoyed. I have a 4 and 5 year old and while they don’t like everything, I’d say they like the same percentage of meals out of this book as meals I was preparing before. But as a busy mom with picky kids - quick simple meals are exactly what I’m looking for and this fits the bill. Highly recommend!

ok
There's one picture at the beginning of each chapter, but that's it. Not a picture with every recipe. Lots of spices are used. Examples of ingredients used: Coconut oil, coconut milk, ghee, avocado oil, whole-milk yogurt, almond flour, coconut sugar, and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. As far as "no hassle 30-minute" claim...well that depends on your level of cooking experience. Lots of chopping and preparing of vegetables and fruit, and a couple recipes call for "ingredients" that require they're own cooking (i.e. cooked, shredded chicken, raw peeled deveined shrimp, sauce with its own recipe) Some recipes we have like and some we have not. I do feel like there's a good variety of recipes, but a few are definitely too complicated or strange for me to use. There is some good information on nutrition and inflammation throughout the book.

A Must-Have for a Healthy Home!
I’ve been cooking very consistently out of this cookbook for nearly 2 years now and it’s still my most favorite book in my kitchen! The recipes are extremely flavorful, yet simple enough to fit into a normal grocery budget without obscure ingredients. All my other cookbooks have just a few recipes I use, but I can say I’ve cooked almost every single one in this book and have enjoyed them all. The recipes are very diverse and fresh while at the same time being straightforward and simple. They are short and user-friendly enough that we’ve been able to cook from home nearly every night with full time jobs without feeling burnt out. My husband even learned how to cook from this cookbook after 4 years of marriage being fearful of the kitchen! In the age of so many recipes at our fingertips on Pinterest, I still really view this cookbook as a must. Our copy is now very, very well loved and many of my colleagues, friends and family are enjoying the recipes from their own copies as well. I strongly encourage everyone to integrate this as a kitchen staple in their own home- you won’t regret it! :)

Great for weekday meals
This book was a godsend for healthy and quick meals during the week. I’ve had it for over five years now and still use it. The recipes all have similar seasonings and call for fresh lemon or lime juice for flavoring, so in effect they all taste similar (kind of like how certain bands end up with songs that all sound the same).

Useful information for someone who is new to anti-inflamatory eating
Useful information for someone who is new to anti-inflamatory eating. Didn't really find a recipe I was crazy about, and some of the recipes call for ingredients that are in fact inflammatory, when they could easily be swapped out for something healthier. For anyway looking to really change their diet I would recommend "The Perricone Prescription". It's more of an intense diet change, but you will see results and whether you stick with it or not you'll learn the basic theory behind an anti-inflamatory diet. I gave this cookbook to a friend, not worried about getting it back.

I have tried several Cookbooks featuring organic whole foods but find them to be too time consuming so I end up grabbing something fast and easy but not as healthy
I usually do not take the time to write reviews on a product though I shop from Amazon frequently. However, for this Cookbook I will take the time. I cook half a day in a school kitchen so that is usually the last thing I want to do when I get home. I have tried several Cookbooks featuring organic whole foods but find them to be too time consuming so I end up grabbing something fast and easy but not as healthy. I love that I can have supper on the table in less than and hour and that I do not have to buy a large variety of foods for my pantry. The combinations and flavors are loved by my entire 4 generation household and I will even be trying some of these recipes out on my elementary students. Thank you Madeline Given NC.

Decent Recipes
A good starter book if you're trying to cut gluten/dairy, etc. from your diet. Each recipe is labeled "gluten free, dairy free," etc, but not all recipes are gluten/dairy free or vegan, so be careful. As someone who is trying to do an elimination diet, this book is helpful, but I still can't eat every recipe. Still, it's packed with a lot of helpful information for beginners, so it's not a bad cookbook to add to your collection.

Quick and Easy and Delicious and Healthy to Boot!
I normally don't buy cookbooks anymore, but this was recommended by someone on a blog. I pulled it up and I liked what I saw and I am so glad I purchased the Anti-Inflammatory Diet. I made the Tahini Lime Dressing/Dip for a party this past weekend and served it with veggies and it was a big hit. The recipes are quick and easy and I like the idea that you can have something healthy on the table in no time flat. Ingredients aren't totally foreign and readily available at the grocery store. It's a great addition to my collection. This one is a keeper!
