Has small parts
I am glad they updated the age range on it form when I purchased. It was originally listed for kids under 3, but it has small parts that come off easy. Great idea but bad execution. The arm's don't stay on when they are combined, and has no hands even though it comes with 4 hands that you can't use!?! Not to mention some wing-board like pieces that have no use. It is almost like it was some other toy that was modified to be dinosaurs. As for learning toy (assuming you can get your kids to use them for learning instead of playing with or being distracted by them) what the heck is up with the negative symbol took me for ever to realize the box with a white outline is the negative symbol. Parts come off the robots easily and had to put a few back together after my kids tried to transform them a few times. Some of them can be real difficult to transform as well when the have double hinges and only one side of the hinge wants to move. Only reason this got 3 stars is because my 2 and 6 year old think there cool and like to play with them everyone once in awhile, and they upped the age from 1+ (when I bought it) to 3+. Small parts issue for younger kids.

Fun transforming toys, but they don't combine very well
This set of 20 transforming numbers seemed like a really strange concept to me when I first encountered them. Numbers that transform into robots? Odd. My son LOVES them though. He’s always been big into math and I think he was tickled by the idea of math problems becoming marauding robots.Individually, the various transformers are fairly simple with fold-in arms and legs. Many of them take the shape of dinosaurs. They’re not too fancy, but they’re a pretty cool toy for a younger child and there are a lot of them in the set, perfect for making stories or “battles.”One of the selling points of this set is that you can combine the individual robots to make a larger megaformer. In practice, this functionality is not great. The megaformers are able to be built, but the attachment points for the various robots are not very robust. This was a real disappointment for my son, who loved the idea that he could combine a bunch of them to make a new robot. He was frustrated that they kept falling apart. They don’t hold together very well, meaning that they make OK display pieces, but if you try to play with them, they’re liable to fall apart with just a little jostling.Bottom line: Fun individual toys, but the larger robot megaformers fall apart too easily to be playable.

Great Educational Toy!
This is really a great educational toy! I wish I had stuff like this when I was little. My niece and nephew love this. I enjoy anything that helps children learn without them realizing they are learning. However, be careful not to step on these thing barefoot…I almost met my maker when I did! LOL.

Great idea, unsteady execution
I am a huge transformer fan & was excited for this to arrive. It was intended to be used in my spouse's office to aid in her counseling of younger children. The individual robot numbers are fun & easy to convert allowing for tactile & mental coordination exercising. Once we start combining the robots into their larger forms this toy literally falls apart. The points of connection are small, weak, and result in disappointing play activities. If the intent is to make a statue to look at then it fails as a toy. When a child tries to play with it as intended, frustration ensues. This frustration increases when the child attempts to "pose" the toy similar to the box art. There is nearly zero articulation possible with this design. Even trying to move the arm to "aim" the weapon makes the arm fall off completely. The individual robots are great. As a combiner robot it is close but not well executed. In this case, for a child's toy, the individuals are greater than the whole. Never use this as a combiner. Use it as a robotic math & number teaching tool. In that use case it is a great toy!

As individual toys, works great!
These are really neat transforming toys. As individual toys, they work great. To combine them though, it really didn't work out.
