Good quality in materials, finish and performance, I am happy with mine!
The media could not be loaded. I own several AR15 rifles with high accuracy red dot sights on them and I would like to tune them in to the highest accuracy that I can. I purchased the UTG tactical bipod in order to stabilize my rifles to get that last fine tweak of the sights. I have used UTG products in the past and I was impressed with the quality that I have seen. I wanted a nice bipod that could easily be used on multiple rifles to adjust the sights and I liked the quick disconnect mount on this bipod. It even comes with a swivel stud adjustment that allows you to mount it to a front rifle stud and quickly add a small Picatinny rail to the rifle stock to mount the bipod using the QD mount. The swivel stud adapter has a small screw threaded pin to connect the adapter to the original rifle swivel stud. My newest rifle has a front quad rail hand guard and so the mounting of the bipod was fast and easy and I didn't need to use the swivel stud. I was impressed with the quality of the materials used in the manufacture of the bipod and of the quality to the bipod’s finish. The rubber feet of the bipod are solid and they sat firmly on the shooting bench at the range. The bipod will allow the rifle to rest at a minimum of 8 inches to 12.4 inches high. There is a lockable thumb wheel that will lock the legs into any length that you set them at. You can set the legs at any one of the 7 notched leg positions and you can even set if between the notches if you lock the thumb wheel. The notched positions are nice because you can easily find your favorite shooting position and know that the legs are level. When the thumb wheel is unlocked you can press the retraction clamp and the legs will snap into the shortest length position. The legs open to a 50-degree angle when they are snapped down and it gives the rifle a nice steady base while shooting.I have found the bipod to be stable and solid. All of the components are made of metal. The QD Picatinny rail mount has an Allen head set screw to allow you to set the locking force of the QD to suit the machining of the rail of your rifle. It mounted solidly to my rifle. At the range I was able to shoot tight patterns and the bipod was stable. With my AR15 I was able to easily use Magpul PMAG magazines for 30 rounds without any issues. The turning of the rifle on the bipod was very stiff and limited to a few degrees but it loosens up after working with it. Since most of my shooting is at the range that part doesn't bother me too much. I actually prefer that that motion is tight. I did find out that I had to tighten allen screw on the quick disconnect lever tightly to make the tripod securely stay on the Picatinny rail. I just used the supplied Allen wrench. It makes the QD lever impossible to open up without the Allen wrench but I still had such great results at the range that I can't complain about the bipod. This is a good quality product an I like it a lot. I rated it 5 stars and I would purchase one again. I find the QD to work well and allow me to move the bi-pod between different rifles. It makes a nice attachment to use while sighting in your sights or optics.I move it between rifles as I update my optic sights and magnifying scopes.

I really wanted to like this bipod but it is not up to expectations.
My first bipod purchase was this Tactical OP-2 from UTG TL-BP88Q. I read a ton of reviews and they were all great.Recently I tried a friend's Harris and Cladwell bipods and it really highlighted some of the shortcomings of my UTG bipod. The biggest frustration I have with it is the Quick Disconnect locking lever comes lose nonstop. It doesn't even hold tight enough for me to put the legs down from a folded position. I constantly reach back up and push it tight again. I shoot once, reach up and push it tight. I shoot again, then reach up and push it tight. This happens when I use it with the UTG Swivel Stud Conversion Kits. I purchased a few of these kits so I could use the same bipod on multiple rifles. It comes loose on all of them. Two more minor frustrations I have are that the advertising states the bipod pans/swivels. And surely it does not pan at all. It doesn't move even 1 degree. The last frustration I have with it is that it NEVER attaches to any rifle in a level manner. Meaning, no matter what rifle I use it on (tried using multiple Swivel Stud Conversion Kits) it always makes the rifle unlevel. I need to extend the right leg of the bipod out about an inch to level up my scope crosshairs. (Maybe this is from the faulty Quick Disconnect lever system also?)I wish it panned like the marketing states and I wish it attached to rifles in a level manner. But I can live with both of those. But I would LOVE it if the QD lever would stay tight. I have emailed UTG's support and will update when I hear back. If they make good on this bipod I will update my review.I'm a Michigan resident and have purchased many things from this Michigan based company, Leapers/UTG. I purposely try to support local businesses. But if this isn't somehow made right, I doubt I will be buying anything from them in the future.Update: Working with UTG's Customer Support was very easy. They were super helpful. Their responses were always timely and included the details I needed. I will buy more UTG/Leapers equipment. I sent this bipod into them and they fixed the QD frustrations I had. For that reason I raised it up to 4 Stars. However it does still have some minor shortcomings and does not deserve a 5 Star review. A decent product for the price. But honestly I still never use it since I've purchased a Harris bipod. I'm keeping the UTG bipod around in case I see a use for it someday. This product gets 3 Stars. UTG's Customer Support gets 5 Stars. So overall I gave it 4 Stars.

I was initially completely pleased with this bi-pod
I was initially completely pleased with this bi-pod. However, after only a few trips to the shooting range, one of the legs lost its spring activated rapid retraction capability. I believe the spring inside the leg must have come unattached somehow. This is not critical to the usage of the bi-pod, but it is a nice convenience. Normally you can push the extension release button and the leg will quickly retract to its shortest position. The bi-pod still works fine, but it's disappointing that this happened after so few uses. I like the lever lock that secures the bi-pod to the rifle rail. This makes it very easy to put on and take off. This is nicer than the previous model with the large thumb screw. The legs are solid and the swivel stud mount option makes the bi-pod versatile. The non-slip rubberized foot pads give the bi-pod a solid footing. Another improvement over the previous model is the notched leg extension positions. With this you can be certain both legs are extended evenly. The legs fold with good solid spring tension. In general, I like this bi-pod very much. My one and only complaint is the loss of the quick leg retraction ability with one of the legs. The other leg retracts as it should. This is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. For the price, this is a nice bi-pod. Sure, there are higher priced ones, but I'm not anticipating needing to use this under extreme conditions in the jungle, or harsh conditions of any sort. I would recommend it.

Right on target.
Solid piece of equipment. A nice addition to my firearm. Stable, like the height and the quick closure. You won't be disappointed.
