It does work well on a ford 302. My only gripe is that the threads aren't very beefy, so the stud will actually wiggle back and forth slightly until you completely bottom out the stud. The old studs were fine and I only bought this because it looks easy to adjust and has a bright new finish. I used a nylon threaded nut on one of the studs and topped it with an acorn nut to mount an accessory bracket and it seems sturdy enough. The chromed finish on the product is "pretty good" and is "good enough" for my application.

The description says this is a two piece hex head bolt kit, but what they mean is that this is a stud and bolt kit. The studs are screw in with a cross tip on one end to screw it into place and then a crome steel hex head bolt to go over it. I did not expect a full stud kit even for valve covers for under 20 dollars. Great deal and great product. They worked fine and the wide base of the bolt made for a decent spread of the pressure to hold down the valve covers.

Finish is bad, not as shown in picture. Chrome is Discolored from heat. Studs have rust. Didn’t expect much for the price but still disappointed.Contacted seller and received strange response along the lines of “this is what we do, return it if you don’t like it.” Not worth the hassle and losing 5 bucks in shipping for an $18 refund. I’ll let my kids play with them.Nice 2 piece design though.

was only able to use these on header side of edelbrock tall valve covers , inside ones wouldnt fit with the large heads . I did use washers under them so it it didnt destroy finish every time i tighten down

That product is cheap garbage doesn't even shine it's not even Chrome nickel plated or something s*** why does Amazon sell garbage like that

They are well-made this makes it much easier to remove my valve covers on my 1964, Mercury Comet with a 289 engine
