I use this lens all the time, more unusual results than a standard go-to lens, (50mm etc). It has good results landscaping or close up, (ie. Jewellery), quick shots, street photography, portrait. I leave it on my Z6 all the time.You don't need the hood, (although I have one in case I may at anytime), it is good with any light.I use my Z6 creatively in all situations, & have had good results with this lens at night shots using every trick the camera can pull with strange exposure/shutter speeds, F-stops & ISO speeds etc. Good to go on manual setting, not bad on auto too in different situations.One thing I noticed when I first got the lens & attached it to my Z6 was it wouldn't function correctly focusing, & recognising the camera. You have to update the firmware if this happens to you, it worked with me & I haven't looked back since.I would recommend this tiny little lens as part of your camera bag, for what i've shot with it it really is well worth the money, & it isn't that expensive.

You might wonder why, in the title, I say "surprising".Let me tell you.When you open the package, you see a very thin lens, plastic, by the looks of it. Which, as most of us DLSR/Mirror camera users know, is not something we see on expensive lenses.See attached photos. Lighthouse ones taken at the 16mm and 50mm extremes. No filters used.Anyway, that aside., I stuck it on my Z50 and took it out on our first outing since lockdown to Rye.Overall, I thought the results were very good.Also, the lens is so light, it adds practically nothing to the overall weight of the camera.

I bought this kit lens (not the se) to partner the z fc (so far only used it with Z6 and Z7ii) when it's released, like all Nikon Z lenses very sharp. This lens is extremely light at least in part due to the plastic mount, it does have image stabilisation which works well and weather sealing but without the rear sealing gasket. An excellent versatile lens even if this little slow (referring to aperture not focus speed) especially at 50mm, not the best lens for shallow depth of field unless you're very close to the subject, a great walkaround lens and general landscape lens.

Compré este objetivo para la nikon z6 aun siendo de diferente tamaño de sensor. en la z6 cuenta con un 24-70 y aunque es oscuro, por el precio que me costó estoy muy contento. Lo utilizo en situaciones excepcionales o cuando no puedo cambiar de objetivo ya que suelo trabajar con lentes fijas

Sorprendente calidad teniendo en cuenta su rango y su precio. Esta cámara (Z50) y este zoom son una combinación sobresaliente si quieres salir a hacer fotos con lo puesto.
