The Red Truck Bakery Farmhouse Cookbook: Sweet and Savory Comfort Food from America's Favorite Rural Bakery

I miss living in Marshall, mainly because I miss this bakery!!! Their pimento cheese, the scones and the muffins. The list goes on and on. Everything is delicious there. The cookbooks they offer are awesome and filled with delicious recipes. I love that I can attempt to make the recipes that the bakery makes in Virginia. Secretly though I really wish I was sitting in the bakery smelling the coffee and cakes and muffins baking...and enjoying a scone and coffee. Gosh, I do miss it.

I bought this one on the strength of the original Red Truck Bakery cookbook. Not everyone's second cookbook maintains the quality of the first, but IMO this one does. The recipes are well-written, the photos outstanding, and the author's "story telling" keeps the reader engaged.

Every kitchen should have this cookbook to use. Perfect directions and wonderful composition and art work. You could read this like the Shakespeare of Cookbooks.

The pictures are well done and the recipes are clear and concise and very well layed out.Lots of standard recipes and then Southern things I've never tried like 'Virginia peanut pie" or Bill Smith's Atlantic Beach Pie. This a delightful book full of yummy recipes. Mostly baked goods including deserts, but there are some soups and stews and a variety of other recipes as well.

This, and other, Red Truck Bakery cookbooks are “must haves” for anyone who loves to bake. I haven’t tried all of the recipes, but the ones I have tried turned out fantastic. A great and valued addition to my EXTENSIVE cookbook collection!

I love Red Truck Bakery! And I love that I can now make Red Truck food at home with this easy to follow and beautiful cookbook!! This should be a definite purchase for every kitchen!

This is companion book to first effort. This book has many more meals and sides as well as bakery items. Quite useful and entertaining. Recommended.

Great cookbook. Lots of recipes using everyday ingredients.
