Great RAM, but DIM lights after a week of use/Device not recognized
I’d like to state that I love this RAM. The looks, the feel, the speeds, all of it is great. However, the XPG RGB Sync app no longer exists. Please be wary of that. My other lighting apps, even the old version of the XPG RGB app stopped recognizing the RAM, and the RAM would rarely light up on its own after that unless I reset my pc fully with a shut off. Unfortunately, the lights also began to be very dim on the sticks. The whites were becoming too overwhelming and the normal colors would not shine bright at all. RAM functioned, but the devices not recognized and the lights going dim made me quite upset. Decided to go back to G.Skill Trident Z like my old rig.

Good, but..
It's an okay performer, the rgb definitely has hot spots and there is no XPG rgb software, and most motherboards can tune them slightly, but it's not as seemless as nearly every other rgb product I've used. Performance is amazing and if the rgb is only a bonus to you, I'd still recommend this kit as they still do look great. 🐷

This is really DDR4 2666 Mhz ram using JEDEC standard @ 1.2v, 3000/3200 requires overclocking
This is really DDR4 2666 Mhz ram using JEDEC standard @ 1.2v, 3000/3200 requires overclocking.to reach speeds of 3000 Mhz or 3200 MHz XMP profile is needed to be used, and at those speeds this memory module operates at 1.35v not 1.2vThe funny thing is my system cam with DDR4 3200Mhz ram at 1.2v and operates fine. But using this memory, when using XMP, the 3200 Mhz profile causes me pc not to boot, and the 3000 Mhz option works fine (XMP profile #2). I am able to use profile #1 at 3133Mhz instead of 3200 to get my system to boot.So this is strange. So what it apears companies are pushing overclocked ram using XMP profiles to reach advertized speeds instead of just following safe JEDEC memory timings. If this ram can operate at 3200, why doesnt it have a JEDEC profile for that speed ? Maybe the JEDEC profiles are for non-overclocked certified speed/timmings.My poing is 3200 speed is not just plug and play. It requires tweeking at turning on option in the bios to utalize the XMP profiles. But 3200 speed may not be achievable. I seen some reviews that blame motherboards. But the fact my pc alreafy had ddr4 3200 in it using JEDEC, i know my board is capable. So just beward 3200 may not be an option and you may have to use 3000 or do what I did and use 3133 with some tweeking.Loosing up the timing did not help the 3200 progile. I did not try to increase the voltage. But I bought ram to just work not to have to diffle with it,
