Our parrot comes out to the kitchen for breakfast every day, and when she goes to my wife's shoulder, she scratches her skin, drops crumbs down her back, wipes her beak on my wife's clothes, and tries to chew the eyeglasses strap (she's already broken several).This accessory prevents all that for a very low price. Also, I was surprised to find that our parrot enjoyed playing with the hanging toy (a bonus, to be sure). For me, this was money well spent.

I have this so my bird doesn't poop on my shoulder as much. It's great. Another reviewer posted about her conure not hurting it's tongue in the bells so thank you to whoever said that, so what I did was I got a pair of pliers and pinched the bells opening tighter so my birds tongue can't even fit inside. Still chimes like before but after crimping the bells shut my conure won't be getting cut or his tongue stuck inside. This is a good product.

Works, good quality, birdo like's it, grumpiness is good, easy to clean, could be just a bit bigger....
