Buena Calidad-Precio

Solid build at a decent price point!
Purchased this back in May and has been working great! When I first received the package I couldn't believe how good the build quality is at this price point compared to other named brands.I mainly use it with my Weber 22" charcoal grill for smoking meats. One probe for ambient temp and the other for internal meat temp. Both work great! I double-check the internal meat temp with my ThermoPop and the difference is negligible. The receiver has ample range too. I stay in my basement 6 ft down under the earth and it has no issue connected with the transmitter.Overall a great buy and I will choose InkBird again if there's need for another BBQ temp gauge!

Impressed
I've been using this for several months now and I'm very happy with it.I'm mostly using it in a hot smoker, so the dual probes has been important to me. I use one for the temperature of the meat and one for the temperature of the air in the smoker. The wireless range is excellent. I can have the probes in my back yard and the main unit at the farthest point inside my house and there has been no issues at all with connecting. You can set a target temperature range and it will alarm when going either above or below this range. This is great for cooking at the right rate and being able to pull it out at the right time. There's only 2 issues that I have with it.First, the controls are cumbersome to set the temperature range. You can figure out how the set the meat temperature range fairly quickly by pushing a few buttons, but I always have trouble setting the oven temperature range. I keep having to pull out the instructions and figure it out. Totally not intuitive, but usable once you figure it out.The second is that it'd be nice to be able to just turn off the alarm sound. When triggered, you can push a button to make it stop, but the next time it goes into range then back out of range it will start beeping again. For example I might be monitoring from a distance, chatting with people. Then I'll go to open the smoker and adjust something. I know the oven temp is going to drop below the target when I do this, so it's going to start beeping away until someone pushes the button. Sometimes just flashing with no sound would be better.Otherwise I'm super happy with this. It does everything I want and was a great price.

Works, but care needs to be taken on first assembly
Hopefully the manufacturer reads this, I received my unit with a similar flaw others reported with the lens ready to pop off. As someone who design products, there is a simple adjustment in manufacturing that needs to be made to resolve. For others that experienced this, there is a tab to pull off a protective clear sheet, but the tab is actually more bonded to the lens than the sheet it’s trying to remove. The glue under this lens releases in turn. So if you start pulling to remove, simply stop, actually rub the tab more into the lens. This will do 2 things, start creating an air gap between the protective sheet and the lens, and also tighten the bond the the tab and protective sheet. It also tightens the bond with the lens and the plastic body.So far I’ve checked and it connects correctly and appears to be initially accurate. I’ve only experienced real time tracking of temp while cooking recently but it certainly beat stabbing your food every 2 minutes and lowering the cooking temp in the process.
