This version of the ceramic gourd comes with a 5.5" Bombilla (Metal Yerba Mate Straw) that includes a removable end making the metal straw easier to clean. If you like drinking Yerba Mate tea from a gourd but like being able to clean it then you will love this ceramic mate gourd. It fits the hand nicely while the curve holds the Yerba Mate much like a regular gourd. This makes it easier to let it steep in the initial cooler water before adding in successive amounts of hot water. Enjoy this as a go to mug of your own or as a special gift. These are a mini version of the regular ceramic gourds and are about half the size of the regular ceramic gourds. These are made from lead-free material and are dishwasher safe. Each ceramic gourd starts with the same red base and then a secondary glaze creates a unique swirl of color along the inner and sides of the mug. One of a kind!
I recently got into drinking Mate Yerba and this hand made gourd has made it an enjoyable experience for me. The mate gourd is absolutely stunning, modern, sleek and there's nothing like it on the market. The side hole was a clever idea! The bombilla metal straw sits perfectly in the gourd. The gourd is not too large or too small. It gives you enough to enjoy the flavors of the Mate Yerba, and I've been using it ever since!
