High Quality
My wife wanted to try making Barley Bread for a church celebration because tradition indicates that it was the grain used in the Biblical Feeding of the Loves and Fishes. Locally, all we could find was pearled barley which was not suitable for her recipe, so we looked online for a source of hulled barley. Since we have a mill, the whole grain option was perfect for fresh barley flour. We settled on this product and were delighted with the high quality delivered. The size of the bag was just about right for us so the lack of a zippered closing was not a drawback for us, but it might be for some people. We simply poured the remainder after using what she needed into a jar and saved it for future use. We will certainly buy this product again when we need for for future baking.

Good Quality
I bought this because I thought it was Hulled whole grain barley. I dont eat processed grains, but I tried it for this review and then gave it away to a friend. It's very fresh and flavorful with a good texture. If you like pearled barley, this is a good quality, but you can get it much cheaper at your local grocery.

Cooks up nice and "clean" barley grains!
I gave this produce 5 stars. I did have a problem with shipping and the bag arrived with several holes in the exterior plastic heavy duty bag originally packaged in - but someone had put white tape over the holes - thus it was shipped by Amazon KNOWING that it had holes in the bag. I didn't know if rodents had chewed holes or if holes were punched in transport, but the entire bag had to be discarded. Amazon refunded purchase money. Before I trashed the bag, I poured out the contents to inspect it. If the "whole-hole" issue had not surfaced, I would sing high praise for the product. AS it was not the fault of the manufacturer, I still give the barley high praise. Large barley grains and I found no trash or hulls in the packaged material. I have purchased this same product in smaller bags previously so I know that it is an excellent grain that cooks up while still holding a good "chew". It is far superior to what I can buy locally and I will continue to buy this brand.

Such a small package!
I was very surprised to see how small the package was. (Yes, it said online how many ounces, but I didn’t expect that it would come in a package so much smaller than the smallest size at a grocery store.)

Best barley out there
I’m obsessed with this barley. I’ve had other brands and this one is by far the best! The only downside is that I wish they had more quantities so I could stock up!

Delicious
Tesco had no barley, image that, and I needed barley asap. Amazon came through with banners flying. In colder months I use a lot of barley in stews and soups.

DUR A CUIRE
Le goût n'est pas terrible, plutôt fade. Même une cuisson longue avec ou sans trempage préalable ne rend pas les grains plus tendre. Nourriture rustique pour les jours "sans".
