slates are too flimsy and not fixed
The first time we received it, it was a defect. now the second time receiving it, all installed but the quality of the bed base itself is not satisfactory. The slates are too flimsy and too far apart and they slide too easily and when I sit on the bed the bed actually threatens to fall through as the levels of the slate and middle rod is not the same level/or the slates are too flimsy.

Find something better
The slates that are included with the bed are too thin and fall below the actual metal frame. It does not come with Velcro (to secure the mattress to the slates). Any movement causes a noise between the bottom of the mattress and the slates. I have purchased other bedframes similar to this and they were of much better quality.
