We ordered two wands (heart & crown). They came in a timely manner and the packaging was top notch. We were initially very happy with the purchase.However, once my daughter started playing with the heart wand, the handle quickly became sticky/tacky. We thought she had gotten something on the wand, so we wiped it with a damp cloth. However the tackiness remained and it became apparent it was the varnish/finish that was causing the issue. After a few wipings with just water, the finish has completely rubbed away and the wand does not look great.I’d like a replacement. Probably in another style. I’ll update if the vendor reaches out to make it right.As a side note, we have had no similar issues with the 2nd wand. Which is why the review is 3 stars instead of 2.

I purchased a Dragon Scale and Black and Ivory Bone (which is great). During a game of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle, we were pretending to cast spells and the Dragon Scale wand broke in half...Fine. We blamed ourselves.I love the design so I bought a replacement. Moments ago, the replacement (as well as Black and Ivory Bone) fell from the bottom shelf...a height of less than 25 centimeters...and you guessed it. The Dragon Scale wand broke in half AGAIN!This level of fragility is absolutely unacceptable and is clearly a design flaw. There is a metal skeleton inside it but it is only half-way through the wand and it's precisely where that metal bar ends that both wands snap in half.If you buy this for display purposes, it can work but not for cosplay or to be handled in any other circumstance.

Twice my kid was darn near in tears because he broke this wand and thought it was his fault.Upon further inspection, the metal rod in the wand ends abruptly before the hilt, and is not centered making this wand extremely breakable. The blue dots are where I marked it should be, and where I’m attempting to insert my own rod and glue it. Shame since you can’t really find the dragonscale wand anywhere else - would gladly pay more for better quality but this isn’t worth it. For display only.
