It is hard to use the handle because it is so short so I took one from my other set that's actually marble and used that and it makes it work so much better. It is really small too like I wanted but it's too slippery if you use the handle it came with..of you look at the picture with the handle in it you can see it doesn't leave much room for your hand to grab onto

I needed something to crush my pills and didn’t want a regular sized set. This is perfect for grinding meds, it has the right weight and is very easy to wash. There’s a slight texture at the bottom of the mortar so the tablets won’t be sliding around as you crush them. Highly recommended.

We ordered this mini mortar pestle to pulverize our cat’s medication and it does a beautiful job of it. Unlike our old porcelain lab set, the smooth marble of this set is very stout and makes easy work of crushing hard pills while leaving no waste and looking great!
