The best performing toothbrush.
The battery life and cost are the only disappointments with this brush - it's only feasible to buy it in one of the many sale events. Also the battery isn't nearly as good as the older Oral-B it replaces. Cleaning is excellent though and that's the most important thing. Oh and one final complaint - the brush itself is very smooth and so difficult to maintain a good grip on!

Didn't even last a year!
Product worked well for 6 months then despite being charged would not turn on and flashed red. When immediately returned to the charger the power would immediately read 100%. This has got progressively worse until one year later and it has completely stopped working. Waste of money.

Good but issues
I came to this from a trusty old Philips Diamond Clean brush that finally came to the end of its useful life and the brush heads were getting way too expensive.Family members recommended changing to Oral-B Smart or Genius ranges but at the time of purchase there were no deals happening so I went for the iO series instead. The first thing that got me was that the brush head and stem are larger and thicker respectively than the Philips (and previous Oral-B ranges for that matter) making it awkward to get at my wisdom teeth properly. Also, the brush head stem has three holes in it (perhaps to assist breathing?) that allow the mix of toothpaste and saliva in my mouth to seep out and run down the handle - the net result being that brushing absolutely has to take place over something to catch the resultant 'overflow' of said mixture.Keeping the pressure light green rather than red (too hard) or white (not hard enough) initially proved awkward but that has come with time and is now almost second nature, although there are certain areas when brushing that are impossible to avoid white or red for me.The one feature I love in comparison to the Philips is the need to turn it off manually - the Philips would turn off automatically after two minutes (or two and a half with one of the stranger) modes. This suits my brushing as I tend to split my mouth up into five rather than four segments and brushing each for one of the 30 second intervals then turn it off when I'm ready.Having now had a few weeks of use, I'd have to say my teeth don't feel as clean directly after brushing as they did with the Philips but they do feel clean for much longer - I very rarely feel the need to have a mid-afternoon top up brush when using this. Now the big negative - battery life... Allegedly the battery should last two weeks (the Philips would do that comfortably) but for me it lasts 5-6 days tops. The first couple of brushes on a full charge take a full 20% out of it and from then on 7-9% per brush which results in 10-12 brushes before it's dead.I think if it wasn't for the battery life, I'd have been happy giving five stars, but the fact the battery last less than half the advertised time (and what is acheived by the competition) means I have to dock one.
