WeetabixCrunchy Bran 375g

Simply the best cereal of all time, ever. Took a while to ship but it was worth the wait... my kids are as besotted with Crunchy Bran as I am so I suspect we'll be placing another large order soon!

Crunchy Bran is like Shreddies a great product, however, once again the greed for money, selling British products is phenomenal. It's a box of cereal not a set of crown jewels. The cost of a box of Crunchy Bran retail in the uk is 4 - 6 pounds. There is a minimal amount for shipping when one buys in bulk. That's 8 usd (retail) with shipping at the most. Taking 3 x as much is daylight robbery and no-one will sell many. Why Amazon entertains this is beyond comprehension.

In my childhood, the original, biscuit-type Weetabix was my favorite cereal. I remember Weetabix releasing a cereal somewhat like this one many years ago – that is, Weetabix in flakes rather than the familiar biscuit form. I see that they currently have a product called Weetabix Weetaflakes. I'm not sure if that is the original flake version that I remember, but it looks just the same. They bring out so many varieties – some of which survive and some don't – that it's hard to keep track.This Crunchy Bran version has a much crunchier texture, which some people will prefer.One advantage of not having a cereal in biscuit form is that you can be more precise with the serving size.I will now hand over to our chief breakfast cereal taster, from a younger generation of the family:"As far as cereal goes I'd say it's not too interesting. It tastes like Weetabix but the texture is much better to be fair and I don't like how mushy Weetabix gets quite quickly, so it's much better than that. A serving suggestion is with fruit and that does make it better. You can taste the sugar as well which is different from Weetabix so it is a little nicer to eat. It's good for Weetabix lovers who want something a bit different anyway."So worth trying, for the sake of variety.

シリアルは好きでよく食べていますが、繊維が豊富なブラン系のシリアルが食べたくなり、こちらを購入しました。中身は、半透明のビニール袋に入っています。一粒が1cmちょっとくらいの大きさで、くるんとカールしています。味そのものはブランフレーク系の商品と良く似ていますが、生地のキメが細かく、歯ごたえもちょっと違います。目の詰まったサクサク感といった感じです（説明しにくいですが……）。牛乳などをかけても、すぐにべったりした感じにはなりません。おやつ代わりに、そのまま何もかけずに食べても美味しく食べられます。ケロッグのオールブラン、ブランフレークと40ｇ当たりの繊維量を比較すると、オールブラン＝12.9gブランフレーク＝3.7gクランチーブラン（当商品）＝8.0gとなっています。同メーカーのウィータビックス ブラン フレークス 500gは、40gで6.4gの繊維量です。甘すぎるシリアルは苦手、甘味が無さすぎるシリアルも苦手、ザクザクした歯ごたえは好みではない、そんな方に特にお勧めです。材料として小麦ふすまが一番多く、次が全粒小麦、オート麦ふすまの順になっており、GI値も高くはなさそうです。飽きの来ない味でリピートしています。

定期便で購入してますので今更なんですが、飽きがこない味です。適度に甘みがあり、牛乳等をかけてもすぐにはへたりません。他のシリアルと混ぜて食べていますが、これだけでもナッツやドライフルーツをトッピングすればいらないかも。食物繊維含有量はシスコの1日分なんたらやオールブランより少ないので便秘解消目的にはむかないでしょう。

i like bran flakes so i thought id try these. wow they taste of cardboard and go mushy real quick , the texture is nasty and the taste even worse! also SO expensive.

同メーカーのブランフレークを定期購入していますが試しにこちらも試してみたところ(面白い食感だな?)から、いつしか(味わい深くてハマる食感!)となり今は定期購入しています。ただ価格がやはり高い感は否めないので★一つマイナス。

A family favourite. More palatable than All Bran for a similar fibre content. Nice and chewy soaked in milk. Despite reformulation still a bit high in sugar, though.
