Sturdy, steady and very adjustable, and a great price.
I am a 35+ year LE Officer and firearms instructor for the last 28 yeras. I teach Firearms to new police recruits for a living so I am on the range and shooting quite a bit. I also like to hunt. Thats where my review comes from. This is a great bipod and I use it on my Remington 700. It is sturdy, well built and very adjustable. Use mine about once a week and it has held up well and if I needed another, I would buy this again. It mounts secure to the rifle, and folds and stays folded.Update: I just bought another long range rifle and I am buying another one of these. Since it has performed so well on my Rem 700 I thought I would try it out on my new Ruger Precision Rifle in .308. I really like how it came with several different mounting systems, and they hold well. So I am buying another of these. If you are looking for a low priced yet very well built piece of equipment, this would be it.Updated 06/24/2016:OK just got my second one of these in. And put it on my RPR in .308. I forgot how nice these really are. Very solid construction, strong springs and clips. Installs in just minutes. I really like this bi-pod and especially at the price. No need to go and buy some more expensive bi-pod when this one is so well built, and does what I want. There is no rattle or looseness at all.Bottom line, I highly recommend this bi-pod for most shooting applications and calibers. I will be getting more as my collection increases in size.

Leg to stand on
Mounts real easy and solid to rifles not meant to have a bipod such as a Mosin Nagant. Bought this mount 5 years ago to gear queer my rifle up and give me a solid scout rifle platform. Well it has held out over all these years. I've used it in desert sand, mud, dry brush on un even ground as well as shooting benches and its still rock solid. It adjusts to the height you need and the springs still assist In biped deployment. I cannot express how well made these bipods are and how much endurance it has as I'm still running it soundly on a high recoil rifle. It just doesnt come off my rifle because if it aint broke... Dont fix it. Works way better than advertised id say. Get one you wont be dissatisfied. Signed a paratrooper veteran

A honest review- bipod ncstar
first its around 20 something $'s so bare with the price for its quality is goodCONSinstructions: NONE came with mine and its supposedly NEW.right leg was loose but a 5/16 wrench tightened it back to placethere is a metal bar that it very easy to bend so be awarePROS(will fit to swivel stud on any BOYDS stock)mines hooked to a mosin nagant 91/30 that is now in a boyds thumb hole stock (pepper laminant)strong build overall , i like the legs, they are at perfect length for table firing and at fulll its good for ground firinggood to use bipod when cleaning , i used a rod cleaning kit down mosin nagant barrel, kept rifle in place no issues when cleaning(actually an improvement)firing: mosin is a 7.62x54r round , a close equal to 30 odd 6, so it has KICK , i shot at 100 yards to begin and it kicked up the rifle but the bipod held it in place for each shot, 100 rounds(i shoot irons), i then moved to 300 yards (15 rounds) and fired it using some cheap talua ammo (mosin dosnt like it and its not consistent) fire at fast pace , the only thing i noticed is the leg wheel lock was a bit loose , turn it back and ready to fire more roundsso it may not be 100% ready to go when you get it, no instructions, so some thinking required, but overall strong build and good quality so farhonest and to the point

well, it was inexpensive
I have a Harris in a similar height configuration but with notched legs (the way to go IMO), as this NcStar so I'll give some details of the differences.the fit and finish of the Harris blows NcStar away, from the uniformity of the finish to the feel of the rubber feet. Harris is matte, NcStar is uneven glossy.the way the legs on the Harris spring out to me is better than the NcStar springing in. The reason I think so is that you pull the the NcStar legs out and then have to tighten the adjustment wheels for it to hold to the desired height, then when they are tight they have to be loosened for the legs to retract. But, when the wheels are loosened the legs retract without pressing the buttons. There is a fine line to the too tight - too loose point for it to be simple. Harris has you push the buttons and the legs extend and all you do is push them in to the desired length, that is why the notched leg version is the way to go.when the bipod is folded up the legs are not even, when looking at a sideways view the right leg droops - quality?I did not encounter any problems with the tightening screw when installing or the leg adjustment tightening screws, they work as intended.the NcStar bipod is a little more difficult to install compared to the Harris. NcStar requires that the sling stud clamps go through the base and they don't quite separate as easily as the Harris when engaging the holes on the stud. Installation still only took about 10 minutes.the NcStar came with the 3 different mounts which is why I bought it, wanted to try it on my DD quad rail on an M4. I will be using the picattiny mount but will purchase another Harris for the gun, this NcStar will be going on my .22 only.I gave it 3 stars because of the mounts it comes with, a picattiny rail mount can cost as much as this bipod itself.
