These are Cardboard but Strong
I wasn't sure what material they were made from when ordered. They are made from cardboard, but they are very sturdy and very durable. I am using these for homeschool stuff with 2 kids - 5 and 11 - and they have survived very well with daily use and abuse. I will purchase again if I need more in the future - or to replace them when the inevitable of kid abuse happens! LOL

Much better than other commenters would lead you to believe
I was nervous buying this after reading all of the poor reviews... I took a gamble and could not be happier. No these are not cardboard like the Amazon box they came in, think more like the cardboard an appliance would come in. These are sleek and clean, also I wrote out my own labels but THERE WAS NO EVELOTS LOGO ON THE FRONT as some people reported formerly. They must have changed after complaints. I plan on using these everyday to remove books for my kids’ homeschool however I will be very gentle and will not be tossing them around too much, they look like the have a breaking point. I do have some standard sized textbooks and Bibles but mostly 9.5 x 11 inch sized books. They serve the organizational purpose I need and also look fantastic. I totally recommend these!!
