I bought this (2 Ton) to hoist a backhoe attachment for my tractor. The backhoe weight ~ 800 lbs. This hoist arrived in a scruffy box that was "mushed" but still intact. Inside, the chain was together with the hoist in a plastic bag and, of course, covered in preservative. That was totally to be expected and after cleaning it up, I installed it on an overhead beam. Both chains run very smoothly and the structure of the hoist was very stable and handled this weight without a whimper. I am very pleased with the quality and this will be a welcome addition to the shop. Both chains run in proper chain wheels rather than over (4) spacers like others I've seen. The brake works as anticipated and held the load while I repositioned the shoring underneath.

La única pega que le veo es que, al ser para 2 toneladas, hay que darle mucho a la cadena para que vaya subiendo muy despacio. Si se necesita con esa capacidad, está genial. Si se necesita para menos peso, valoraría otras opciones más ligeras.

Le premier Palan était neuf. Le deuxième semble avoir déjà été utilisé. C'est pas grave grave, on est pas là pour faire de la dentelle mais j'avoue que j'ai quand même avoir eu l'oeil attentif pour vérifier s'il fonctionnait bien. C'est le cas, les deux Palan sont super, utilisés déjà toute l'après-midi et pour bien des années je l'espère.

Fabricado mal. Funciona por 3 de 5 estrellas. Creo que fabricado en el sótano. Para usarlo sólo unos ves .

So many times something is rated and you're lucky if it would do one half of what it claims, this is definitely an exception to the rule. It is rated correctly, 2 tons, I have little doubt that you could actually double that. Rating should always be much less then capability and this is such.
