A Pelion Garden: Turning bare ground into paradise in mediterranean Greece

Nice book, but disappointing as covers a very limited selection of plants, shrubs and trees - eg no peach, apricot, nectarine, or vine. And who on earth wants to know how to propogate bouganvillea when most of gardening time here in Cyprus is spent fighting it back as it grows like a weed. Would have really appreciated a wider selection. Nice photos

Great guide for Greek Gardens

This book is really helpful in identifying plants and their care. Easy to dip into when information on plants and flowers are needed. The photos are wonderfully clear making plant/flower identification simple. Helpful instructions on care and maintenance have made this a constant companion. I love the way the book is written making it a delight to read.

We have purchased a house in Crete with a large, neglected garden. This book has provided enough information and inspiration for me to believe that we will eventually be able to transform it into a productive and beautiful space.

Really a super book with relevant technical info and personal anecdotal experiences had with the plants, the sort of insights a RHS or UK written book on Mediterranean gardening never would elicit. Will apply Olivia's wisdom to my garden in Crete. Full of nice photos.
