Buyer beware. The description states black with lace up straps, easy to use. What I got was 2 of the beige braces, foam like materials. St first I hated them and wanted to return them. Now I love them and ordered 2 more the only thing I hate is the light color. Gets dirty very quickly. One thing I noticecd though. Both braces started unraveling at the seam on the thumb within hours of wearing it. Fixed it myself with needle and thread though. It appears there’s a flaw in the design at that seam, it’s weak and unravels.

I have C-MC thumb arthritis (base of thumb) both hands and have tried a variety of braces and gloves. This one is the most comfortable because the metal reinforcements are placed on the sides of the painful joint, rather than directly over it (like most other braces). In all types of braces the thumb is stabilized: however, with Futuro there is no added discomfort due to metal blades pressing directly over the joint. They are also easy to put on and take off (e.g.: for hand washing). I sleep with them on too - my thumbs are pain free in the morning.Also, they are the only one I could find which have beige braces , which I prefer, as I do not want the black brace to be a focal point.Another plus: great customer service and great product description to help with sizing. Note: If the thumb measurements are at the cusp (between sizes), go for the larger one.
