Strong, Easy Set Up, Super Value
This is an incredibly great product. Assembly and set up was very easy and all the necessary tools (an Allen/hexagonal wrench) are supplied. Finish of the product pieces was perfect and, contrary to experience/claim of another reviewer, the finish was not subject to incidental damage. On top of its attractive modern design, this stand is incredibly strong and should easily be able to support 800 lbs. (Typical 55 gallon set up is about 600 lbs. - not including the stand.) Feet are adjustable, so if your floor is not perfectly level, no problem! (This is a feature I have never seen in a competitive acquarium stand product.) And the price can't be beat! What could be bad about this? Well maybe you don't like the metal construction or color, preferring something wooden. Or maybe you don't like the open design, wanting a cabinet where you can hide your equipment from sight below the tank without using skirting material. But when it comes to strength and functional utility, this actually may be the best 55 gallon acquarium stand that money can buy.

What a great stand. I purchased a 55 gallon tank for ...
What a great stand. I purchased a 55 gallon tank for my dining room and needed a stand asap. I didn't like any of the usual fake wood options that look like cabinets, I've got a more modern industrial interior to my house and was hoping to find a stand that fit in with that. This is perfect! Not only does it have a great look, the metal is ultra sturdy and a perfect fit to the dimensions of my tank. Before purchasing, I noticed reviews mentioning the top pieces being every so slightly uneven. While we were putting the stand together, I mentioned this issue and we did notice about an 1/8" difference between the sides and front/back. That is, until my husband lifted the front and back pieces into place while I tightened them. Gap fixed! It may just be a fluke with the stand we got, but it's worth a shot.

Adds to the Beauty
This is a gorgeous stand! It is sturdy, and assembled by my eldest son easily and quickly! It has been set up for almost two weeks... holding a 55 gallon aquarium which is full! I would not hesitate to recommend or repurchase! The black metal is much prettier than any the wooden stands that I have seen in stores and homes! It is elegant and functional!!!

Sturdy and affordable with just one issue.
I have owned this stand for nearly a year and have no complaints or functional problems to report. The stand comes well packaged and the design is very simple and easy to set up for one person. It is sturdy with a slight glossy finish and should last many years.I gave this item just four stars because of one design issue that has not been a problem for me but needs to be addressed for anyone who places a very tall/large (48" 55 gallon tall) tank on this stand. The stand's design allows for the top horizontal rail to be offset a little lower than the side vertical rails extend upwards. In other words, a craftsman would say the top of this stand is not truly "level" but rather to the two vertical legs pass the top horizontal rail by about 3 centimeters. This is just off enough to add significant pressure to the middle of long/tall 48" tanks because all the weight is only resting on the ends of the stand. If not leveled with some cardboard or other support in the middle, a tank could burst or crack under the water weight that has no support in the middle from the stand!I used a layer of cardboard and some of the foam stickers that came with the stand in order to compensate this issue, and have no further issues to report. Just be aware of this and address it before you place water and livestock in. They both belong in the tank, not on the floor ;)

Sturdy & attractive for such an inexpensive stand!
Love this stand! Ready to put together but extremely sturdy. Very attractive for a "bare bones" stand. I had a sheet of plywood cut to fit the bottom so I could use it for a couple of smaller tanks. I was missing a bolt but I went to a local fastener business and got a suitable replacement for a buck. Plan to get a few more of these.

Holds my lizard tank up
Pros:It looks and feels very sturdy and holds up my tank. Does its job.Cons:The packaging was dusty likely it was sitting around in a warehouse for a year or two. The metal supports? Beams? Whatever you want to call them were scratched up all over and dusty also. I don't really care about the cosmetic look of them but you might. The scratches can be pretty bad at some spots I provided a few pictures to show them.Four of the screws that came with this had their threads crushed and or misaligned making putting this thing together the biggest pain in my butt ever. I thought it could of been me with the 1st screw but after the 2nd one that wouldn't go in I started looking at all of them and found a lot were messed up. I have a set of die and re cut the threads and after that it went together fine.

Great stand for a great price
Came as expected, I didn't pay 800$ so I didn't get an 800$ stand. I believe it is a satisfactory stand. It has held my 55 gallon tank for almost a year now and have had no issues. I own one other stand in this style for my 30 gallon tank and have had that one for almost2 years with not issues. They work well even though they are not the pinnacle of perfection and beauty, they are functional. I would recommend them to anyone budget buying.

i gave one star for easy to assemble
the reason for the one star on easy to assemble is because these direction booklets always seem to be translated from Chinese and trying to be written in English, so i am always extremely happy when the product comes in a box where there is a photo as to how the product looks assembled!!! I simply look at how the product is assembled on the box and toss the "directions"! to the side!
