We all know the sinking feeling when you cut open a delicious looking steak, hot off the grill, and realize that you've overdone it. Instead of a enjoying a tender and juicy piece of meat you end up chewing on tire rubber. Or even worse, you're finally carving up the Thanksgiving turkey and discover to your horror that its still raw! The crazy thing is, all you need to prevent these situations from ever happening again is a good quality digital meat thermometer.

Very handy!
I ordered this after my cheap dial thermometer broke and needed a suitable replacement. The dial ones are so hard to read and to get an accurate reading so a digital was my choice for upgrading. You get a lot of bang for your buck with this one. It's super accurate, folds up nicely for storage and is incredibly easy to read. I love that it is so easy to know when your meats have actually hit the right temp so you don't end up overcooking them, especially chicken that dries out faster than a flying toupee in a hurricane! So handy and finally a tool that I don't mind taking up space in my gadget drawer. I just use some very hot soapy water on the probe part ONLY and rinse it clean and haven't had an issue with it.

Love the Backlight!
I had a reg thermometer and It broke, so when i seen this one on here, and its digital I bought it. I love how this one has a bright backlight making it easy for me to read the temp when I insert it into my food that I have in my oven. I choose the blue colored one because my kitchen and decor is in blue. The probe on this flips in and out, making it great for storage.It has a guide right on the thermometer. It also has a magnet on it so I put it on my fridge where it is nice and handy to get to when I need it.

Worked once and then the screen stopped working properly
I was really hoping this would work. Unfortunately, it worked once. Then the next time we went to use it the numbers on the screen wouldn't show. The light would come on. I tried changing the battery thinking that was the problem, but it worked for 10 seconds and then the screen blanked out again. The light would work, but the numbers didn't show on the screen.I would not recommend this product and am hoping the seller will refund my money even though it is more than 30 days since I bought it.

Good cooking thermometer
This thermometer is very handy to have on hand while cooking. I mean, I definitely like to know when my food is cooked thoroughly! This device is easy to use, and ready to go right out of the box (I would wash it first, of course). The digital screen is easy to read at a glance, which can really make your life better when you're into a heavy cooking session. I got the blue version to match other kitchen utensils that I own, but it's also available in a bright red. I'm satisfied with this purchase. It's nothing overwhelming, and it does what it's supposed to do.
