Great product, very good price and excellent Customer Service. Purchased this product for my wife. Trying to get away from all the Teflon coated pans due to them eventually flaking and getting into food. Price was very good whereas some others had the price inflated and then supposedly selling at a "sale" price. In addition to a good price Norvica also offers a lifetime warranty. Others sometimes do not state a warranty. The price and warranty were what sold me on the product. The product arrived promptly and was packaged very well. My wife loves it. One concern we had was a chip on the handle. Granted it was affecting the cooking and would never get in contact with the food, our biggest concern was the chip getting bigger. Contacted customer service and asked for advice on how to handle it. I was expecting advice on it or maybe a way to fix it so it would not get bigger. Unexpectedly they said they would send us a new Dutch Oven. That was a pleasant surprise. If only the manufacturer of our heating pad would honor their "lifetime warranty". They could take lessons from Norvica in regards to customer service. Will definitely buy from Norvica again and highly recommend them.

I have been wanting a Dutch oven for a long time and I'm thrilled to have this one. It's a little smaller than I expected, but that's my fault for not knowing my sizes. It's not large enough to cook a double batch of chili in it, but for most meals when I'm just cooking for my husband and myself, it's been fine so far. I love that it can go directly into the oven! It's very sturdy and heavy. There were no chips or defects on it. The handles do get hot, so I have to be aware of that when handling it. Plus, it retains heat, so I have to keep that in mind, too. It's a good looking and high quality piece of cookware.

I am a huge fan of cast iron for cooking. The enameled cast iron pieces are both effective and pretty. Double bonus. I have a larger enameled cast iron Dutch oven but I wanted a smaller size to add to my kitchen. This product has been exactly what I was looking for. It has an interior width of 8.5" and depth of 3.5".This Dutch oven retains heat well and is easy to clean. I have used it for searing meat, small batches of soup, and slow roasting in the oven. I only wash it by hand. Enameled cast iron is a little easier to clean than regular cast iron so it is good for someone wanting the benefits of cast iron but not wanting to deal with the seasoning regular cast iron requires.One note on this company's customer service: My first Dutch oven had a minor flaw in the finish of the handle. I contacted them about it and was immediately shipped a replacement at no additional cost. I am very impressed by customer service like that.

It is not entirely coated in enamel. The edge on the lid & the dutch oven itself will rust (or at least mine have.) The enamel also chips fairly easily as my dutch oven already has 2 chips. One is artificial on the handle, but the other is right below the screw that holds in the handle on the lid. Haven't had any enamel in my food, but not a good place for it to be cracking. Also, the handle on the lid will get very hot, so be careful when opening the dutch oven after use.

Very good quality. Unfortunately the knob on the lid protrudes a bit too much and thus it will not fit in my small oven unless I turn the lid upside down which is what I do. However, if you have a regular size over this will do fine.

It was good until the inside coating lasted. After maybe 7-8 light cookings, inside pain chipped off, and now it streaks brown upon touching which I think is rusted iron. So can’t use it for cooking. Very poor coating I guess.

I love it. Solid build, good quality. Only reason I knoked a star off is a chip of enamel was not covering the handle.

While I was initially very pleased with this dutch oven, after only using it three times I noticed a chip in the porcelain coating. I now feel like I can not continue to use it out of fear that more coating will continue to chip away into the food being prepared causing accidental consumption.
