Water Pearls Gel Beads- Wedding & Event Centerpieces-Makes 6 Gallons, 8 Oz Pack Red

I bought for my wedding to put in vases for the table setting. They did good. The bag I bought was way more than I needed. I used about 6-8tbs and filled about a 5 gallon bucket with these and the black beads. Once the beads expanded they looked more pink then red, but they did fine for I needed them for. Going to buy a water bead gun later use the beads with them.

I am not sure what happened to mine, but they didn't get anywhere near the hydrated size. At most, my hydrated beads (that sat in water for a full 48 hours) were 1/2" (when the package stated they'd hydrate between .585" and .786"), and the vast majority of the beads were only around 1/4 - 1/3". According to my calculations, one package should have been MORE than sufficient for my needs... but because they didn't hydrate to the right size, they barely filled half of the containers.In addition, they were not red. Not even close. Like another reviewer said, they're a bright, neon pink. Maybe the other colors are more true, but red is definitely not. If you're using them for an event and you need a 'Christmas" red, DO NOT BUY THESE. It's even worse if you plan on lighting the beads up (the neon pink becomes very, very pronounced).They're not bad. They work, but make sure they really will fill your needs before spending money on them.

These were great and definitely worth the price. The only thing I would warn about these beads is that when they absorb water they turn more pink in color than the red I'd hoped they'd be. The kids loved playing with them.

The water pearls gel beads plumped up to the correct size but the color was more of a light reddish almost orange pink. I have used the same type of product for several years from Accent Décor which has always had a real red color. With the addition of 1 TBLSP of red food color to each batch we achieved the correct red color.

I made a project for the lab I work in with red blood cells, platelets and white blood cells and this was perfect for it.

got a ton (like it says) after product expanded like it said it would...gel beads ended up being too translucent to use so I didn't like that...but cool product. Prefer glass beads much better.Don't pour these down your sink...I didn't and I'm glad I didn't.

Did not come out red. They were pink.

Beautiful ........good product and price. The red color is beautiful. Like a Christmas red. We are planning on using them for a Christmas Wedding which is perfect. The price is very good compared to other stores where I have purched the same thing....but in smaller amounts. We need a lot for the wedding.
