This stuff is brilliant
I had a really bad smell that I could not identify after moving into a property that had been empty for 6 months. This product not only covered up the smell but totally killed it.

Be aware. This is a single use room fogger. Sanigone also make a multi use single blast sanitiser.
The words TOTAL RELEASE didn't really register with me that the entire can would empty when operated. I needed to fog a small bungalow and set the can off in the spare room thereby wasting the whole can and leaving several rooms untreated. Failing to read the instructions on the can didn't help either.Luckily I later discovered that Sanigone also make a total blast sanitiser that can be sprayed into individual rooms as needed, and this one is very effective and more suited to my needs.Likewise buyers need to decide which product is most appropriate for their situation.

Not a fogger
The name should be changed from fogger to spray. I chose this product specifically for it being a fogger, but I had to stand there while spraying. This meant I had to small it all in my lungs until the whole can was depleted. I am still coughing and suffering from tightness in my chest since I used it. But it does work against mould. hence the 3 stars.

Cellar clean up
Worth noting… when you press down it starts to spray immediately, you need to press down hard and clip it in position and the spray then continues when you let go. This could be better explained on the instructions. My cellar got very wet last year due to rainwater leaking in, resulting in all kinds of alien looking fungal and bacterial growth. One in particular had munched its way through several cardboard boxes and some plywood on the floor. Waited til it dried out, cleared it all out, set this off, left the room and closed the door sharpish. It has a very strong scent reminiscent of cheap toilet cleaner but seems to have done the trick. With hindsight I should probably have taped round the door to stop the smell infiltrating the kitchen. The scent lingers for a good few days. No more strange, cardboard eating organisms down there now from what I can see and somehow all the spiders appear to have survived the experience!

No proof it works - dangerous to rely on it to actually clean your room
I have an outbuilding that had been invaded by mice.I had dealt with the mice issue but still concerned about hygiene as mice are notoriously dirty and spreaders of disease. This fogger seemed the perfect option. The manufacturer has all sort of certifications that it works, which was reassuring. After I'd fogged the room it smelt "clean" - the product has a very strong pine smell that I don't mind but others might not like.Wanting to be sure it really was disinfected I did some research about foggers, something I should have done before buying!I discovered that to work properly the fogger must wet all areas of the room sufficiently that the disinfectant stays in contact with the germs for at least 1 minute. For some germs and especially fungal spores it needs to be more like 5 or 10 minutes.I checked again the certifications on the company's website and noticed that none actually tested as fogger. They all simply certified that the contents were effective at killing germs in the germs were mixed directly in a solution of the product. I.e. not mixed due to fogging but actually put in the disinfectant solution. The solutions make component is alcohol - which at 70% plus strength is a well known disinfectant - but only if the germs are in contact with the solution for 1 minute.I tried an experiment and put a fogger in my bathroom that is no more than 7 m2 and so way smaller than the 100 m2 the fogger is supposed to disinfect. I returned 1 minute after the fogger had stopped - wearing a mask - and checked if the hard surfaces were wet. They were not!I tried with a new fogger and waited 5 minutes - no wetter than after 1 minute.Concerned whether the fogger works at all I contacted the company to ask if they any certificates where the fogger was tested as a fogger. I.e. put a few petri dishes with germs around a room, set off the fogger and see if they were all killed. They had no certifications for this situation - the actual situation consumers would be using the fogger in.They claimed that it must work because its very popular and has lots of people buying it on Amazon.Personally I wasn't convinced - I like to see things tested as they are actually going to be used. Just because something is popular does not mean it works. If you were to split open the can ( which I don't recommend from a safety point of view ).And take the contents - mostly 70% alcohol and use the fluid to wipe down a surface it would disinfect it.But as a fogger - there is no proof this particular fogger works. And I doubt any of the other ones sold on Amazon work any better. On the plus side as I say it does make the room smell medicated even if its not actually killing any germs. The smell does linger for quite a few days. But you could buy an air freshener for much lower cost if all you want is a nice smell. The other issue I had with their advert is it claims not to leave any residue - i.e. no chemicals left behind that need removing. But at the same time they claim it keeps the room free of germs for up to 7 days. How can it do this if the product has left no chemicals behind? Even if the fogger worked, once it stopped and the germs which float in the air from outside and on people's hands and so on, would return!I asked them about this contradiction but the company declined to comment.
