I'm very impressed by this design and ease of use. The flip mechanism is secure while still being easy to open. It cuts clean, very very sharp. The nail file works well, the grit is stable and will not deteriorate with time. This nail clipper is well worth the money. Can tell they put a lot of care into the design. I searched through many options and decided on this one for the style of file, the fact that it flips open rather than swivel, the size is very compact. I get a long of broken nails at work, I'll finally be able to give them a quick clip, file, done.

I had some ancient nail clipper of similar folding design that I had carried in my pocket for at least a couple of years. (I was a nail-biter for my first five decades, so a really good clipper and file has special value to me). The old one worked well until it finally broke. This new one works fantastically well, and so does the file. The exquisite packaging is what took me by surprise and makes me want to be a couple of dozen to give as gifts.

The nail clipper is very sharp and cuts well. It is also very compact, which makes it easy to carry in a bag or on a keychain. The negative part of it is the placement of the file. It is locked in place, because of the overall design, which makes it a little awkward to clip the nail. It can be done, but the file gets in the way a bit. You have to hold your fingers a bit to the side, since the file is perpendicular to the clipper. Otherwise, it does main job of clipping the nails with ease. My nails are a normal thickness, so I can't say for sure how it would work on someone whose nails are thicker, due to a fungal infection. A couple of people have complained about it in those circumstances, but I find it extremely sharp, so it should be able to handle even thickened nails but I'm only making an educated guess.

This product was surprisingly good. I mean, I expected it to work, but it is even better than expected. I am very careful to add anything new to my EDC (EveryDay Carry), and this made the cut very quickly. I am going to buy others as gifts for friends now.
